I love the relationship between the two main characters and I liked the movie a lot on the first viewing but it doesn't hold up well to a re-watch (for me anyway) especially if there are commercials. I just watched it a few days ago on something like AMC and with a lot of editing and still taking up all of a 3 hour time slot it felt really slow.

I refuse to watch any movie with editing and/or commercials. I haven't watched a movie like that in probably 20 years.
IFC is the only channel I can stand commercials and that's only because I have the movie recorded and can skip them. But I'm with you, edited content just kills a movie every time.

I rarely do but every now and then something I have on as background ends up catching my interest. But as much as I dislike the cuts and the commercials, the thing that drives me away more than anything else is the stupid logos and such that all of them insist on super-imposing over the picture.
Yes! Hate that garbage. They have animated ones now that take up the lower third of the screen. So obnoxious.
