This one is a hard one, so I will start off with one hint. That is a gladiator!

My favorite martial arts movie of all time.

Liked it but I liked the "original" version better. Side by side I'm sure the newer version is much better but if you'd had the chance to see the original when it was new, it might change your opinion. There was just nothing out there like it at the time.

Which original version? There are so many versions of that story, and yes, I've seen a bunch of them. This one is still my favorite.

I didn't realize it was in dispute, I thought it was clearly derived from Fists of Fury. As I said, when it first came out it there was simply nothing like it in the world of cinema. I know The Big Boss came out prior but it didn't get circulation in the States (that I know of) until after Bruce Lee's rise to fame.

That is from Fist of Legend right? Very good martial arts film and it's essentially a remake of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury even though many similar stories are out there. Good movie but probably in my top 15 favorite martial art films. So many good ones out there especially if you are a stickler for technique.

Ip Man was also a remake of it with Donnie Yen. A lot of great martial arts movies, but I'm a huge Jet Li fan, I just think he has the fighting skills and the dramatic chops--much like Bruce and even his son Brandon had.

The only reason this one popped into my head is because of a conversation I had this week with my brother.
