Ok, after reading through the cool thread about movies that we saw as kids and don't really like now, I thought I'd ask everyone what their TOP 3 (and THREE only! :D ) "guilty pleasure" movies are.

Basically, they are movies you KNOW are really, really bad, but you just can't help but love them.

In no particular order, here are mine...

Fletch Lives
Dead Alive
Caddyshack II

These might not be "top 3" per se, but off the top of my head they are... :D

Dude, there's absolutely nothing to feel guilty about with Dead Alive! "I kick ass for the Lord!" - best line ever!

My personal guilty pleasure has to be Jackass. I absolutely double-over with laughter everytime I watch that movie but I know I kill brain cells doing so.

Runners up - Road House, Night of the Creeps, and Orgazmo.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka
Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I tend to love movies that truly suck, just becasue they are so bad and yet made SO much money that my joy comes from knowing people actually liked them.

1. Fast and the Furious. This movie is so horribly good I own it. And I watch it ALL the time.

2. xXx. Can you tell I have a man crush for the cheeseball antics of Vin Diesel?

Can't think of any more offhand.

I should tack on Good Will Hunting to my list - I watched that movie so many times I knew it backwards and forwards.

Love that movie.

#1 Big Trouble In Little China

#2 Deathstalker II (Possibly the worst movie ever made. Damn funny though)

#3 Waterworld (Unlike everyone else, I liked it)

How in the world can Good Will Hunting be a guilty pleasure?

That's like saying that Schindler's List is in the same vein as Killer Klowns from Outer Space!!! :D

Due to the fact that I don't know what I'm talking about I guess... :)

I'm soooo tired - very sleepy.

This is scary.

We have a dual deck dvd player.

On more than one occassion, I've had both of those flicks in the player...

I might not be allowed to like it now, BIM. We're starting to have too much in common. I might lose sleep over this...

"I alomost had you, man."
"You almost had ME???"

I start laughing even thinking about that movie.

I liked Fast and the Furious for sure, but I got pretty bored in xXx...for some reason.

You guys are stealing my thunder. I would definitely list :

Big Trouble in Little China

Army of Darkness (I just bought that on DVD by the way)

Road House This movie is so lame, yet whenever I see it is on TV I watch it. It is like a car wreck. I just can't seem to look away.

Weird Science

Guilty pleasures - ah too mnay of them to even think about and bring in my top three - but here's a couple that I watch, even though I absoluetly can not stand them.

1. SIDE OUT - has to be one of the worst movies of all time - I mean come on Peter Weller, C. Thomas Howell and BERNIE LOMAX - not to mention Apollo Creed's trainer and Courtney-Thorne Smith (pre-Melrose Place). One of the greates lines of all time: No touch ref! No touch!

2. THEY LIVE - No one believes me that this is one the most intelligent and thought provoking political-science-fiction movies ever made - good idea with Rowdy Roddy Piper there to deliver some classic horrible lines - "See, you, you're okay. That one, real f*cking ugly" and "I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum." Not to mention the lcassic 9 minute brawl in the alley between Piper and the father from Something About Mary.

3. ARMED AND DANGEROUS/WHO'S HARRY CRUMB - John Candy at his best in bad comedies - Who's Harry Crumb was the poor/fat man's Fletch, but damn if that movie doesn't have some classic lines. And the scene in Armed and Dangerous where John Candy is reading Robert Loggia's lips makes my stomach hurt.

4. Anything with Lance Henriksen - especially MAN'S BEST FRIEND - best teaser for any movie ever.
