What a great day!

The Seahags, and the Donkeys both lose AAANNNDD Hasselshmuck, and Plummer both cost their teams the games.

To all you guys posting Plummer stats, and praising him, and calling the Cards idiots for letting him go.....choke on it.

As I have said before, he stunk in the past, he stinks now, and will stink it up in future.

Ahh memories....the fumbles, the dumb INT's. It is nice to see it happen to the Donkeys, and not the Cards.

How many INT's did he have? How many fumbles?

I especially liked the play were he scambled into his own linemen.

Peace

Jake has a lightning storm going on in his brain when he plays. Utterly confused and out of control. He's like a pinball , bouncing around and doing not much of anything. You can surround him with talent , but inevitably he will drag it down to his level. This guy has sucked about 75 million $ out of ******** owners. He is one luck man.

Denver's defense, or lack thereof cost them the game.

Also, Jake did not seem to roll out as much as he did during the season. And the way the defense never touched Harrison was Cardinals-esque.

Jake only put up 10 points. That ain't gonna get you through the playoffs. Denver's defense would have had to hold them to 9 points for the win. I think you may be trying to defend the indefensible.

The play I kept seeing Jake do that epitomized his entire career with the Cardinals - throwing off of his back foot into double coverage.

I don't even play football (I'm a hoops guy), and even I know how stupid that is.

I think the Bronco's coach made a huge mistake taking last week's game against the Packers so lightly. The team obviously did not have their heads in the game and played with no intensity. Maybe if they'd played to win last week they could have kept momentum into the playoffs.

Or maybe the Colts plan of keeping Jake in the pocket would have worked anyway. We've seen from experience if Jake gets moving around he'll make some spectacular plays, but if he stands in the pocket its only a matter of time before he'll make a bad throw.

To be fair it was 21 to 3 and Jake hadn't done anything at all wrong.

The Broncos just got lit up and after that it was all over anyway. Jake can't pull off those crazy comeback against a Dungy defense it just won't work.

Not really. Portis only ran 17 times. Indy's defense shut down the run, and covered great, so Plummer became the Cards Plummer - 2 of his INTs were way down the field.

The stupid Denver defense put Jake in an obvious passing mode which destroyed their gameplan.

When Portis can run, that opens up Jake for the fake/rollout. Didn't happen today.

the only difference between Plummer today and the plummer I watched for the Cardinals is that today he actually hit on quite a few short passes (dink and dunk stuff). The last two years in AZ he could not even hit the receiver on those throws.... He had no ability today to throw a deep ball...but we have seen that before.

Yet it wasn't Jake that put them in this Sadaam hole today...it was the pee-wee leauge D that Denver played today.

Jakes picks were well after this game had been decided. Jake did not cost them the game the D did.

Why am I posting on this thread anyways I hate Jake debates.

the Donkey defense lost this game before Jake ever had a chance to.

I new that once the Colts had a big lead and the Broncos had to pass, Jake would throw a some int's, get sacked and fumble and it happened. That being said, Jake didn't cause this loss.
P. Manning had a great game.

the colts intensity won this game. payton manning wasn't going to get embrasses twice , by the same team, at home. if everyone watched the pregame show on espn, you could tell that manning wanted to win bad. he wants to shut the critics up about not able to win the big game. the colts play the cheifs at arrowhead. this game going to be huge. i believe if manning takes the same intensity into this game as he did with the broncos then the cheifs are in for a long day. i don't think the cheifs defense is going to be able to stop the colts offense.

The one pick

his O lineman got pushed back and he couldn't step into the throw. One fumble he got stripped when his O tackle got burned and he took the hit never even seeing it coming. The penalties were atrocious! neil(sp?) got nailed three times in a row for offsides or hoilding during drives. Idon't think this on Plummer. Today Indy would have spanked any team.

Nice sour grapes post. Hasselshmuck, as you call him, did a pretty decent job except for that horrible INT at the end, Jake was just not good. BUT at least both QB's made it to the playoffs. I'm not a Pummer fan but at least he's on an actual NFL team

When he did that, I thought to myself: "He's probably going to have it picked off."

I like Jake. But I must admit to rooting against him if for no other reason than I'm sick and tired of hearing the media continually pound away about "The Superstar Who Escaped Arizona."

Whats indefensible are the Dan Neil penalties that killed three separate drives, and cost the team 45 yards. THATS what kept The Broncs from answering the initial onslaught by INdy (as impressive as it was....) Sure, Jake was less than stellar, but when youre down 21-3 before you even get a chance to make a play, How are you supposed to react?

Im not pro-Jake. Im glad he's not playing for the Cards. At the same time, Im glad he's playing for the Broncos.

You all need to find something better to do with your time. Oh and Rugby Muffin: Choke on it?

Hardly. The Broncs had a playoff game. The Cards havent even so much as sniffed the jock of a playoff team since 1998. And it sucks. But dont go getting all high and mighty when one: Your assertations about Jakes failure are clearly rooted in a bias filled hate for the guy, and two: The team you root for sucks worse than than the one he left for.

Makes you sound like a dolt.

Why couldn't Portis run? I was freezing my butt off fishing so I don't know but all week long the talk was if the Colts put 8 in the box to stop Portis they'd be lit up by Jake. He had 180 yards passing 2 picks, 2 dropped picks(we listened to the 2nd half on radio) and a lost fumble and the only TD he got was a vintage 4th quarter Jake as a Cardinal mopup TD.

He had a terrific year but the guys on radio were saying over and over that as long as Jake throws underneath he's ok but as soon as he starts going downfield, he's the same guy he was in Arizona.

"DOLT" ????? Excuse me? The Broncos got ass whupped 43-10 and the Colts called off the dogs most of the 4th quarter. When a team is down 21-3 in the 1st quarter, they have 3 quarters to correct those " little quirks " that happened in the 1st Quarter. One useless TD in the 4th Q. Jake never has, still doesn't and never will carry an offense. He makes about $10 million per year to blow.
That's the most expensive BJ since Clinton and Monica.

Maybe Dungy knows how to beat that West Coast offense and took advantage of Jake the Fake. :D

He made close to that this year because of the signing bonus but his actual caphit is much lower. It doesn't become a big contract until year 3, it does appear right now he'll get to year 3 since they have to pick up the option after year 2. When he signed I never expected him to see year 3 of the deal but he played so well in the regular season he probably will get to year 3 in Denver.

I never felt Jake was a really good Qb in Arizona but it is hard to argue with a guy who was 9-3 as a starter this year for Denver he made that team better than they were with Griese. No Card fan was surprised that by keeping Jake in the pocket(from what I've read) the Colts were able to shut him down.

That's exactly what I saw. The second interception was vintage Jake Plummer. Lelie was open, but Jake threw it literally 5 yards short right at the DB.

Jake looked good throwing short. It's actually amazing how much he has improved in that regard. But his deep ball is still awful, and any team that can take away Portis and not let Jake beat them with the dink and dunk offense, can beat the Donkeys.

Was talking to Rugby and his sour grapes BS Wally.

My response to you was simply offering evidence that Jakes performance was defensible as it was more Dan Neil that killed his team than Jake, and what lingering doubts there were were completely eradicated by the DOnkeys piss poor defensive showing.

Whether you want to believe it or not. When Jake was in there during the regular season they mostly won. I think it was a mistake to bench all their starters the last game of the season. Yes it is nice to keep them healthy but They had momentum. The Colts had something to prove and they played physical. Manning has been doing that to teams all season so nothing new. I think it is great the Broncos made the playoffs with the first year of the Snake. He will be just fine in years to come in the playoffs. Look how horrendous Peyton has been in the playoffs before yesterday!! Move on!! Jake is no longer a Cardinal people!!

1. Jake has plenty of practice playing in games were he is down by 21-3. He should know how to react. A good QB comes back, and doesn't bury his team even further in the ground.

2. HYPOCRITE. For 17 weeks there were at least 3 post per week about how well Jake is doing or how we should have kept him. Let the anti-Jake guys have their day.

3. Yes,yes. If anyone is insulted about the "Choke on it" remark I apologize. I meant no harm or not to antagonize. Meant to be a little elbow in the ribs kind of thing.

Peace
