14-15 Miller just needed a competent QB ;)
Remember all the peeps that said we were a playoff team with almost anyone not named Skelton, Kolb or Lindley? Lol

We were 4-1 with Kolb, and close to 5-1 when he got hurt. Had he stayed healthy, it's really hard to see how we would've lost Atlanta and the Jets games at the very least. Win those, we probably pull out at least a couple of others we lost.

It's such a fine line between being a good coach and a terrible coach in the view of the fans.

And IMO talent still makes coaches geniuses!

And this is just the kind of hazardous thinking that is going to leave us with Kevin Kolb, Ryan Lindley, and Drew Stanton as your 2013 Arizona Cardinals quarterbacks.

What a joke. :bang:

There was far more luck in our favor getting us to 4-1 than there was in our losing our remaining games. This team wasn't a "Kolb" away from succeeding, he was part of the problem and is spared from the abuse he deserves because we found a way to be even worse without him. But, we were still a bad team with him.

But, we didn't. We bombed, so I suspect we clean house at QB too.

Kerouac you very well know, if we HAD managed another 8-8 (NOT far fetched!) we would've stayed pat for the most part. If we were 9-7, even out of the playoffs, many fans would've been almost giddy over the return to a winning record and think major changes would be nuts.

For the record, I only bring Kolb back at a salary cut. While hopefully upgrading starting QB at the same time. As bad as our starters have been, the backups have managed to be even worse for the most part.

With Kolb back there I have little confidence that our O line would have shown the improvement they did during the season. Without that improvement I can't see us winning more than 6 games.

Sure, we now KNOW we had a bad team, but that was not what everyone thought when Jay Feely lined up for that FG that hit the post against the Bills. Almost everyone on this board was wallowing in the positive press, seeing our name at the top of the standings, even many posts and stories about how great Whis was. :barf:

As for the Falcons and Jets, those have to be the two of the worst winning performances by any offense along with ours against the Lions. We got SEVEN turnovers against Atlanta and lost!!!! Any QB play above TOTAL SUCK and both of those games were wins.

Kevin Kolb was getting worse and worse every week, like he has his entire career. I have little doubt that if he'd managed to stay healthy, he would have been John Skelton-level by those Atlanta and Jets games.

Cardinals | Todd Haley's demands high
Tue, 15 Jan 2013 10:21:09 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley made some lofty demands when he met with the Arizona Cardinals for their head coaching position last week, making him unlikely to get the job. Haley apparently did this because he's happy in his role with the Steelers and doesn't want to leave unless he has an offer he can't pass up.

Bidwills wouldn't budge on making him pay for sweeps for listening devices out of his own pocket.

I really disagree with this. The mood of the board had already turned prior to the Bills game. Sure, there were still believers but they were vastly outnumbered by the rest of us, IMO. Whiz hadn't (completely) lost his support but the team's problems were pretty evident. Miami scared us, the Rams educated us - everything after was just confirmation.
