That would be nice as the oc. Then get a defensive minded coach?

He and Wilks would keep the team in line as both are disciplinarians. He would be the ying to JDF's yang I suppose.

JDF or Wilks are the frontrunners? I can't see ARZ going with Armstrong. I figure Wilks would be better than Flores.

Interested in AZ....or any?

I'd be surprised if he'd want to be OC of a team with no qb and no o line

he did take us to the SB and coordinated the best offense in football the last 3 years.

so yea....i'll take him

Heard him compared to Jim Harbaugh. An undisputed genius in his craft, but his act wears thin after a couple of years. I guess it just depends on whether or not you want to be back on the coaching trail in 2-3 years after he loses the locker room. Is what he can accomplish in that time worth the risk?

He lasted 6 in Pitt.

He lasted 6 in Pitt.

Season
Jets: 1995-2000
Bears: 2001-2003
Cowboys: 2004-2006
Cardinals: 2007-2008
Chiefs: 2009-2011
Steelers: 2012-2017

Average of 3.6 years. Steelers went against the norm to pull that average up.

That is why I think he won't last very long.

Haley needs to clean up his act. He's been in 2 bar fights, got involved in loud confrontations with Ben and Bolden. He's 50 years old. Grow up and act like it.

that "Best offense in football"... think it had anything to do with having a franchise QB, the (2nd)best RB in the game, and the best WR in the game...all at the same time?

Pretty sure a high school coach could have put up decent numbers with those three guys on their squad and that offensive line.

other than a single winning season in the dismal NFC West what has Haley ever done without an HoF Level franchise QB?? He had Warner here...9-7 and a super bowl run,...and he has had Ben in Pitt...

The thing Todd Haley has done best is choose his jobs

Those moves were the result of promotions. Only Pittsburgh was a demotion.

Pitt was the #1 Offense...and Big Ben even said 'I can't change the plays'

He helped take the Cardinals to the Super Bowl... BOOM

2016 he was 5th

2015 8th

2014 6th

He may not be the nice guy....but he IMPROVES players. Ask Larry...whom he called 'a one trick pony' and got under his skin. Larry has said many times 'I'm a much better player because of Todd Haley'
Kurt Warner said it on NFL Radio and on NFL Network 'Todd Haley challenges you ...he makes you a better player. Todd makes you do the things you're not good at. He makes you a better player. He is very tough...yea I got in fights with him, but he pushed me and that's the kind of coach that make you better.'

So....looking back...top offense year after year....got the Cards to the Super Bowl AND two HOF players state he's a great coach.

I guess you completely missed the part about "WITHOUT" a HoF level QB.. because other than that one year against a dismal afc west, theres nuthin

You really can't use the Cardinal or Bears years because he left the Cardinals to become the HC in Chicago and then failed as a HC.

Kurt "the second coming" Warner took us to the SB, just like he did for the downtrodden Rams.... I will refuse to give credit to Whiz, Haley or anyone else.

Without Warner, it's just another 6-10 Cardinal team, even if Lombardi was at the helm.

I don't know what it takes to get credit on this board? The coach didn't do it. It was the players, or, the players didn't do it, it was the coach, or, it wasn't the coach or the players, it was the system.

This is actually pretty hysterical

I agree Haley could use a little emotional intelligence work, but I DOUBT the 50 year is going to change anything at this point.

After the Bruce Arians debacle, where I guess people were lying to themselves that he would change his personality, I think some fans need o realize you have to work with people how they are. Its not like they are going to change their ways, when their ways got them to this point in their careers.

If the Cardinals hire Haley, then they have to realize they are hiring an abrasive, A-hole. Not that there is anything wrong with that, he has been quite successful with that approach.

Creative mind; lack of personal discipline.

Agreed.

And that is not going to change. Make your opinions now.

If they hire Wilks as a head coach, and Haley as the OC, then:

1. I would be happy with that move.

2. I am assuming Fitzgerald would be happy, on a small scale that is a good thing.

3. The offense would be tweeked, but the same we have seen over the last few years. Sorry, THESMEL more passing on its way.

4. The offseason would be CRAZY, because I would be surprised if Wilks doesn't convert this defense to a 3-4.
