Questions in play calling is always gonna be there. What if Quan ran his route in front of Harrison or Warner actually saw him fake the blitz? We have ran those pick plays all season and that was Kurts 1st turnover in the redzone all season. Haley was a big reason we were 2 minutes from hoisting the Lombardi, a big reason!!!

No doubt he was a big part of our success and most of his playcalls were excellent, he was quite good at setting up plays with other ones and as a whole did quite well. I'm just saying there were some spotty calls here and there. With the SB play, I just feel that against a team that shows such a variety of looks, a route such as Boldins is far more dangerous than a fade to Fitz. Of course hindsight is 20/20, but when I was at the bar I just kept saying "fade to fitz, fade to fitz, fade to fitz" because really, who has stopped that all year?

My biggest worry is what coaches from our staff will he take with him? We are kinda behind in the game when it comes to picking up assistants as so many positions across the NFL were filled during our Super Bowl run(I can't believe I just typed our Super Bowl run).

I trust Whisenhunt though to use his contacts to make sure we have everything in place before too long.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

How can you say no? As an OC he was one of the absolute best in the game. remember the 1992-1994 49ers and their explosive offense, and their blowout superbowl win?

The key with Shanahan is not giving him too much power - thats what happened in Denver. He is good at developing RBs and QBs as well.

That being said, he probably won't want to go back to being an OC, but then again who knows. No one would have figured martz would do it either.

We don't have to let him take anyone. From Urban "The Cards, with all their assistants under contract, are not obligated to let one leave unless it is for a head coaching job."

Whisenhunt already confirmed in a press conference our coaches are all under contract. I believe (maybe wrong) that they can only leave if they are released or offered head coaching position.

He said my childhood hero was only good enough to be the 5th WR on his team (before he retired).:doi: :doi::madarms: :mulli::moon:

I thought coaches could move if it was to a job considered a promotion like a coordinator.

I took that quote direct from an Urban article a few days ago. I was unsure about it, but I'd figure he knows his stuff

They can as long as the organization they belong to is willing to allow it to happen.
I wonder if the Cards will be allowed to interview other teams assisstants. I know it's changed recently but it used to be where teams wouldn't block a guy from moving to a better job.
