Be warned, my opinion doesnt matter much. ;)

There is a ridiculous under representation of OL and DL in the HOF.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. Are we to be naming the guys we think should/will go in this year, or who is HOF "worthy?"

Nope. You are on point.

Whether it be this year or in the future, are any of these guys worthy of the Hall?

I'd further narrow it...

QB:
Ken Stabler

Bob Kuechenberg, G
Randall McDaniel, G
Steve Wisniewski, G

DL:
Fred Smerlas, NT - as much as anyone defined the NT position

LB:

DB:
Darrell Green, CB
Lester Hayes, CB

ST:
Ray Guy, P

Coaches:
Ernie Zampese

None of the Qb's, Stabler had too many picks.

I like Ottis Anderson and Roger Craig. Davis was brilliant but short career 50/50 on him.

Bunch of those WR's should have a shot, Monk probably the best on the list.

Cris Carter will definitely make it in, as well as Monk.

He will get in, he just isn't a first ballot guy.

Yeah I think he's right on the cusp needs a down year to get in. Was a great player and had a pretty long career.

Carter had more catches and nearly twice as many TD's but played in a more pass happy era on a pass happy team that padded his stats a bit. I'd have no problem with Carter getting in though he was terrific, statistically better than Monk although my own personal opinion is Art was better.

Like Hell. He defined the modern "rushing QB."

Absolutely, and he was my favorite player back in the day. I just don't know that defining "rushing QB" is enough to put him in the hall. If he does get in, his last push with Minnesota will be the reason.

3 MVP awards will probably do it though.

Never getting to the Superbowl will turn away voters though.

Like Hell. He defined the modern "rushing QB."

yea but he was really only a decent running QB for 6 out of his 17 years in the league.

He has a comp% a whole 4 points under 60% which is the benchmark IMO for "good" in the modern football era which he payed in.

Didnt reach 30,000 yards in 17 years either.

However his TD/int ration is phenomenal although he only had 200 TD's. Which is a dismal 11 per year as a passer.

I understand he was a back-up for a few years and that he redefined what a running QB was. But if you look at the body of work and no real defining moments in big games either. I dont believe him to HOF worthy.

Fun to watch? Hell yea. HOF? No.

But then again they let CRAPPY Lynn Swann in so anything could happen.

Sorry Russ but Terrell Davis has HOF written all over him. That guy was as dominant a RB in his short career as any RB in history especially during that 4 year run. He had a 2,000 yard season and has two SB rings doesn't he? Hes in IMO. Maybe not first or second ballot. But IMO opinion he eventually gets in.
