Spending the morning with our niece, then an afternoon movie, before coming home to be with our dog since our neighborhood will sound like a war zone from dark until about 2 or 3 in the morning.
I have 2 that don't even care what's happening and would sleep thru Chernobyl and 1 that can't stop panting and shaking as soon as the first BOOM goes off.... gabapentin seems to help a bit but not the whole time

I once celebrated Independence Day in Yoevil, UK.

I was in a pub with several of my business teammates from the US on July 4th about 15 years ago maybe my early 50s.

One of our female teammates was wearing a battery operated blinking red white and blue necklace. The bar was packed with locals. Needless to say I was worried.

The Brits were very aware of American’s birthday and celebrated with us. They were extremely supportive and I got a sense they felt like proud parents.

I was so proud to be an American that day and the experience will always be my most memorable July 4th experience.

Happy birthday America!

We were jus in England over the summer, and no matter where we went, the English people were absolutely charming. I mean 11 out of 10. It was amazing and wonderful. An absolute delight.

And, of course, God bless this great country!

Happy 4th to my fellow gluttons-for-punishment! :) Be safe everyone and hang in there!

I agree the people were wonderful to be around. They really have overcome their weather…

Ours only care about fireworks that sound like a UPS or Amazon van coming down the street.
