Yo, Spank. Happy Birthday back atcha. We share our birthday with Benjamin Franklin and my wife's late aunt Sarah.
Actually, this is a pretty big day - My 65th (sound of coughing).
I've got my Medicare and AARP cards in my wallet and Social Security check deposited. Next thing you know, the Missus and I will be hitting the Early Bird dinner circuit.
(Note - As an original Rock 'n Roller, I still peg my emotional age as being somewhere between 15 and 34).
Thanks a lot, guys.

I will admit that I hold my breath about starting pitching holding up but other than that, I don't have any real concerns. The good thing is that the offense will always give them plenty of run support.
There is really no team in the Central to worry about. After all, CUBS stands for Completely Useless By September.
AZCB34 said:Once that pitching staff implodes, and they will, the run support won't be enough. Cubs pitching is better and once the Cubs hitters decide to become more disciplined at the plate they will close the gap and let's not forget you have LaRussa overmanaging for you. He is good for about 10 losses from now until the end of the year.
Oh yeah and Shane is right...because we want the STL Cards to fail.
that was a low blow JimJim Omohundro said:Cubs pitchers can't stay healthy. When Zambrano gets lit up, he melts down because he is a headcase. Plus, if the Cubs ever got close, Steve Bartman would find a way to mess things up.
