Noon EST teams are allowed to talk to player's agents, and players can commit to teams. Teams are allowed to sign players on Thursday! :)

I am excited, but also nervous that there won't be any announcements from the Cards today. Personally, I have been a San Diego Chargers Fan, but I will not be making the move to LA. It's time to become a Cards fan. I may need some board help to make the transition. Funny thing, I was pissed when the Chargers did not select Arians as their head coach.

Welcome aboard, still plenty of good seats available on the wagon.

welcome aboard.

Expect to hear about signing our own for now, I wouldnt expect big name free agency acquisitions considering we are already losing two big names due to salary cap constraints.

Heard that the 49ers are likely to trade for Cousins. Multiple thoughts:

1. Hes a good young QB, so he will improve that team no matter what.

2. SF needs alot more than just a QB. So we wont see SF be competetive for another 2 years or so.

3. SF is going to have to sell the farm to land Cousins, so they will be in the hole for a very long time if this trade isnt a success.

I don't believe we will see much activity by the Cardinals early on in free agency other than retaining our own FAs.

It would be nice just to know, as a fan, to see what holes we have heading into the draft. I know it's not logical, but you always feel your team is missing out when players aren't signed right away.

The best teams are draft and develop teams. That is what we are trying to become, and it takes time. Also, the best teams have depth, and that is also something to build since we are losing some guys.

It isn't the worst thing to develop an UDFA player like Tony Jefferson and then have another team spend 9 mil per year on him five years later enabling us to get a 3rd/4th round comp pick. Honestly, that is the sign of a good organization.

The only player I would really want out of free agency that isn't one of ours is Donta Hightower. But, that is only because our defense lacks leadership, and I think he could bring it.

Only missing out on the marquee players that we cannot afford.

"The Cardinals also made a strong effort to bring him back, offering him more than $10 million (per season),” Rapoport said. “But it certainly seems like Calais Campbell believes at this point he can get more than that.”
