Vegas, baby, yeah!
We have a family friend who has been doing our taxes forever - tax attorney and CPA. $150 for the return, he does it all. Wouldn't dream of going anyplace else.

TurboTax Deluxe handles home ownership. It is what we always use.

You can still do it.

That isn't anything more complicated then what you have already done.

I felt like with all this new stuff it would be far more complex? Or that I may be missing out on things I dont know about? People talk about writing off the taxes towrd my house but if I pay 10k in taxes im still not deducting more than the standard deduction which I think is $10,500.

Either way - ive always filed mine as it was simple, put w2 in, list kids, list daycare costs and etc and hit submit.

If its not that much different, maybe ill go for it. Never used turbotax though, always had used freetaxusa.com

Yes, get TurboTax. It finds stuff for you that you might not have thought about. And with your mortgage interest and property tax and last years state tax payment, I'm pretty sure you'll clear the standard deduction threshold. Hell, I have no mortgage but I even cleared because of state taxes alone.

The fist time using it is a little work - you have to enter all personal info and bank accounts and whatnot. But every year after all that stuff is remembered and it is super-easy to fill out fast.

Plus, the cost of buying TT is tax-deductible - they even tell you that when you fill it out.
