Last year when Minnesota had their contract squabble with McKinnie, not only did it effect negotiations with them, but it also hampered negotiations between the teams close to that draft pick and the player chosen; for instance, KC and San Diego.

This year, there will be a contract dispute between Minnesota and Williams (thanks to their draft-day mix up), so teams near the #9 pick might have a tough time gauging the worth of their draft pick.

The real problem was Dallas giving Roy Williams such a big bonus.
That's why the agents for Sims and McKinnie complained saying there was collusion to keep their clients bonus figures down.

I do think the Vikings screwup is going to be huge because there's no way Kevin Williams' agent is going to willingly take less because they screwed up on the clock. And it will impact slotting of other players.

It shouldn't impact our picks we're far enough down the slotting will be done based on last year, but I bet it will cause issues for those higher up in the draft.
