The article itself pretty much contradicts what the Dallas Anchor is saying. Also, the fact that we just hired and fired a black head coach makes his stance absurd. Wilks was given the chance, he just blew it. Article also mentions black coaches like Marvin Lewis, Hue Jackson and others being given many more chances that they should have.

Rod Graves, Denny Green... this guy is full of that special stinky stuff and just does this crapolla for attention
Dale Hansen is more full of ***** than Bickley and Gambodoro put together. He lives in the 1970s.

Maybe he can tell me which black owner, coach or GM has ever worked in Dallas? None. The fact that Jerrih relies too much on The Ginger only shows his incompetence as an owner. Heck, there are only 4 black guys on the whole staff,: 2 of them are conditioning coaches, and one position coach is Leon "Lett It Be." The entire front office is names Jones, and The Ginger's brother is "director of special projects." And their dad was a scout for the Cowpokes.

Their whole team screams inbred nepotism.

What irresponsibility. Hurts the cause they say they support.

Wasn't Rod Graves the first black GM in NFL history? I think some debate that because his official title was VP in charge of football operations or something of the sort.

Coaches, coordinators, and mgmt.

Denny Green
Ray Horton
Todd Bowles
Rod Graves
Steve Wilks
Vance Joseph
Al Holcomb

and probably more.

Hanson has being doing this poo on his show for years here in Dallas & just another reason I don’t watch Ch 8!!!

It’s pretty sad when all these racism stirring hack jobs like he, Stephen cornholio Smith etc do this crap when they didn’t even watch 1 single Arizona Cardinals football game at all on TV this year!!!

And yet these idiots wanna blame Pres Trump & Republicans supporters for dividing American, when the media are so much more blame. Hypocrites

This is an especially asinine take, clearly showing the writer's ignorance and preference for shouting a position over making a case.

He says it's "appropriate to start questioning Michael Bidwill’s motivations," but apparently didn't do the elementary research to learn that the Bidwills have hired two black coaches and one of the very few black GMs ever employed in the league.

If he wanted to support his argument, he could've at least pointed at the Patriots, Titans, Jaguars, Cowboys, Saints, or Rams - teams that have NEVER had a minority head coach or GM. [Not that that would, in itself, prove his case - just that they would be infinitely better examples than Bidwill and the Cardinals!]

Duh.

Thats nothing.. ESPN berated us for 2 days after the hire. As did FS1. They all called us racists out there in white land Arizona. Said we only hired KK because hes white.

I haven’t read this article only because I’m sure it will infuriate me.

The cardinals organization has been flamed over hiring a “white guy” with a crappy resume but the Bengals have been given a pass hiring an “inexperienced” guy from McVey’s staff. To paraphrase the general sentiment, the cardinals are racists and the bengals are just being copycats hiring the next QB whisperer. No praise for hiring a black DC with HC experience. And the media has the balls to say, why isn’t Bienemy getting a job?

Absolutely pathetic journalism.

What a POS article. The Cards are well respected in the league for being more than fair in their hiring practices and were the first team to hire both women and minorities in key roles for their organization.

Dale Hansen thrives on saying controversial things. He is a liberal in a conservative state and loves to make everything political. Which is ironic, since - in his own words - he hasn't voted in a Presidential election in nearly 50 years (McGovern in '72). SMH.

Sad that nowadays you can't fire someone that sucks at their job without being called racist. If you take a half way decent team and turn them into easily the worst team in the league you deserve to get fired. You take a top 5 defense and turn them into the worst defense in the NFL you deserve to get fired. The guy couldn't even find a way to utilize some very good players on that side of the ball either.

Yahoo is full of liberal bile...What a shock...
I think it’s interesting that you automatically connect anything race-driven with being “liberal.” By definition does that mean in your world racism is conservative in nature? When did

and we’ve had at least 4 black coordinators, right? Just with the last two regimes.

Haha poor Dale Hansen. He’s so desperate to recreate another Michael Sam-type video. Here’s the parody version.

This kind of commentary could actually dissuade owners from pursuing diversity because they are afraid of being accused of racism by people like Steven A Smith if they have to fire an incompetent coach who happens to be a minority.

Well that’s just a jackass comment.
No, it's not. This is progressivism at it's worst. It's never about who's best for a particular job. The only thing that matters to progressives is what group dynamic you belong to. This is why in this day and age we're not Americans anymore. We have to hyphenate everything. And when something doesn't go the way a progressive thinks it should have gone, there's always soem kind of nefarious reason for it. For the 2nd time in our franchise history, we hired a black man to coach this team and just like the last time, it just didn't work out. And as many pointed out, we were one of if not the first to hire a black man as GM and he stayed around for a while(and was absolutely bashed on this board at times). We were also the first to hire a female coach but nope, we fire the coach because he was over his head but automatically it was because he was black. Doesn't surprise me coming from a group of people who see racism behind every tree and every blade of grass.
