Bledsoe is his generation's Stephon Marbury. Marbury had better PG skills and Bledsoe is a better defender, but their situations are similar. Their effort is inconsistent and their only real play on offense is to barrel into the lane and hope to find someone to dish off to. Marbury had better hands and better upper-body control, so he was more likely to be able to finish on his own. Both have questionable attitudes and aren't good enough to be a key player on a contending team, even though both can be occasionally inspiring with their "me against the world" body language.

So true! I always felt Marbury was Bledsoe's ceiling.

the coach just make 3 changes in 4qtr

9:27 Alex Len enters the game for Archie Goodwin
9:27 Markieff Morris enters the game for Brandan Wright
6:58 Brandan Wright enters the game for Alex Len

Did Bledsoe, Tucker, Marcus has enough energy to maintain their performance in 4qtr?

pffft, coach says they got tired
That guy is full of excuses.

Budenholzer made adjustments while Hornacek didn't.

I've been saying it all season and I'll say it again....if McD gets fired, his biggest regret will be choosing Hornacek and the iso ball/7 seconds or less offense over Budenholzer and his ball sharing/constant movement offense. Oh yea Budenholzer also coaches defense.

We played over our head for most of the game and down the stretch, the better team did what it usually does. It wins.

I went to the game. You don't realize how many turnovers bledsoe has in person, so everyone, go to the games. It's not as frustrating to watch him.

This offense has taken a big dive. Not having knight hurts, but they just don't move on offense. The Morri have become big ball stoppers or they only pass to each other. I know this will sound a little weird seeing as how I just bad mouthed the team's offense, but I kind of missed seeing Gerald out there. Marcus Thornton hasn't done much of anything since coming here and I'd hoisting brick after brick. At least Gerald brought some excitement. I know part of him not playing is his own doing, but I'd rather him be out there than Thornton.

Green just doesn't look like the same player he was last season. He wasn't great but he was incredibly exciting. The kind of player that could put on the kind of show that almost made you forget you lost. But he just isn't that guy this season.

The offense has taken a dive but we are really undermanned (from a talent standpoint). We were a middle of the pack team and from that we've subtracted 2 of our best players and a key sub and Len is hobbled, it seems, more often than not. That's a lot to overcome in the middle of the season. In some ways it's just a good excuse though as I don't believe we'd have fared much better if we'd kept the team intact. We're probably going to finish with 38 wins and we probably would have won somewhere around 42 games if we'd stayed put. I laughed at Las Vegas for setting the line at 42.5 for us but they had us pegged pretty well.

Bledsoe is going to play better.

This is his first season as a full time starter. He was on the injured list last year as a starter.

Crappy sub pattern, crappy offensive and defensive schemes. Very little execution.

Sorry but I don't think bledsoe has the vision or iq on how to keep the team in control or feel on when to do things. He's missing "it", something that can't be proven by stats. Yes the potential was there but with all the minutes he's been playing you'd figure something would have clicked by now. Right now he's only getting by with shear speed and strength.

We need Len to be a force on both offense and defense. Losing him last night is what hurt us the most. That said, I totally agree with Rab... When the ball gets into the hands of the Morrii, it stops. Our offensive ball movement flat out sucks. Has all year actually and the only way this team can be successful right now is if they are shooting huge %'s, particularly from behind the arc. Last night they shot 10 of 21 from 3 point land thru 3 quarters and then put up a goose egg in the fourth. They don't have the talent, the scheme and the IQ to overcome poor shooting. It's painful to watch...

Len is the Suns MVP. It may not show up in the stats but he's got to have the highest +/- on the team. His impact at both ends is big.

From Brightside...

After Archie fed Brandan Wright for the fast break dunk to take the 11-point lead with 3 minutes left in the third, the crowd jumped up and got wild. The arena was rocking as the Suns ran back down the court to play defense.

But Suns fans don't stay up for very long, and by the time Atlanta called a timeout to talk things over, just 2 or 3 seconds later, fans had already taken their seats again.

At this point, Markieff was walking right in front of me toward the Suns bench for the timeout. I had a seat on media row on the floor. He looked up at the crowd, waved his right arm a time or two (to get them to stand up) and then said "f@ck, man" as he went to the Suns bench for the timeout.

Why is he so hung up on what the fans are doing? If I was getting paid millions to PLAY BASKETBALL I'd be fine doing so in an empty gym. Suns need to get Keef into a program for personal accountability.

Just can't see him lasting much longer in a Suns uniform...

I don't believe they are as unhappy with the twins as you and many others seem to think but I agree, they are likely moved this offseason. But I don't think we dump them. If we can't get good value for them they'll still be in Suns uniforms come October IMO. And if they weren't connected at the hip, Marcus would be the only one gone as Keef would probably be looked upon as a foundation piece.

Boy, somewhere along the line, this Suns board has become the snarkiest one on ASFN.

I'm not sure what you're referencing here. We both agree they'll likely be moved this offseason, I just think there's a line that McDonough won't drop below when it comes to trading them. Where we really differ is that I think there is a good market for them, especially Keef, so I do expect a trade that nets us fair value.

My comment was simply that time will tell how displeased the team is with the twins... My guy is that Jeff does not at all enjoy coaching the Morrii... But that Is strictly an observation from my couch and the 9 games I've been to this season...

I don't think Jeff enjoys coaching this team in general, they aren't very bright. And that includes one of my favorite players, Eric Bledsoe. Right now our lack of basketball IQ has to be especially frustrating because we're in a playoff race (on paper) but the team is still in preseason form.
