Not sure if the money works but that would be a fantastic trade for the Suns.

This is a very unrealistic trade... As good as Amare is too many are overvaluing any prospective deal for him. He can opt out after this year and has perceived injury concerns.

Suns are so not in a position of power and I think many need to come to terms with the fact the team simply will not get "equal" value for Amare's worth because of the above factors.

Huh? You don't need your SF shooting 3's? That's one of there jobs is to shoot 3's. Your 2 best 3 pt shooters are your SG and SF.

Don't get me wrong, if he can shoot threes(a high%) then go for it. My point was that just because Marion is a better 3 pt shooter than Smith doesn't necessarily make him a better SF than Smith.
I'd rather have a SF who can score in a variety of ways,has range(not necessarily from deep),is able to finish strong at the rim,can scrap and play solid "D". He also has to be able to create a good shot when things go bad.

I have been talking about Smith on this team for probably 2 years, but with the drafting of Earl Clark (my #1 choice), I don't see the need. I'll be happy to run Clark and Dudley at the 3 exclusively and I would LOVE to make room for Hill if he's down.

As for ATL, I would send Amare for Horford/Teague/filler and call it a day....
