The Hawks (16-34) visit the Suns on Saturday. They are coming off a 135-113 loss to the Kings on Wednesday. This will be the sixth game of a seven game road trip for the Hawks who face the Jazz tonight.

Suns (11-42) are on a nine game losing streak with their last loss coming at the hands of the Spurs 126-124 on Tuesday.

If the Suns want a win this might be their best chance as the Rockets visit on Monday.

Ayton is listed as probable for the Hawks game.

I'll put this here, as we await the next Suns game. I watched the televised biography of George Washington Carver on AZ PBS-World (Channel 88 on Cox).

Of course, he was a prominent American scientist and inventor in the early 1900's who developed hundreds of products using the peanut, sweet potatoes and soybeans. He was also a champion of crop rotation and agricultural education.

Born into slavery, today he is an icon of American ingenuity and the transformative potential of education. For decades he worked for the famous Booker T. Washington, an educational innovator.

What does this have to do with the Suns? No, not that his boss's name was Booker. :)

Rather that, as I watched photos of him throughout the show, I thought that his appearance reminds me of someone whom we listen to three or four times a week.

Ayton says he is feeling "sensational" for tonight's game.

The rest may have done him good and not just because of the injury.

An 82 game schedule certainly has to push the limits of a rookie physically.

I have wondered if this rest was more of a "rookie wall" thing than actual ankle injury. It probably makes sense to give a rookie a week off this time of year just to rest up and refocus.

I think it could have been both. Give the ankle some extra time to heal while letting Ayton get his legs back underneath him.

I'm anxious to see him play tonight. I think the Hawks are a perfect game for him to come back.

The Jazz defeated the Hawks last night 128-112.

Rubio had 22 points and 11 assists for the Jazz with a +30.

Trae Young had 28 points and 9 assists. I'm really anxious to see Young play tonight. That swap of picks may have been good for both the Hawks and Mavericks.

The Hawks will be a tired team and the Suns need all the help they can get.

It looks like Ayton will play tonight with no minute restriction.

End of 1st quarter:

Hawks 33 - Suns 30

Stupid foul at the buzzer on a 3 pointer plus a technical. It could have been a four point play but a free throw is missed.
