It's a movie. Originally Clive Barker was going to do his own remake/retelling, but that all fell through and some others decided to do their own take on Hellraiser.

It was kind of sucky. I didn't like the new look of all the cenobites. That fake CGI look. And the plot was bleh.

Take it from a Hellraiser fan who has read A Hellbound Heart and other short stories in the Hellraiser universe, this was a poor attempt.
