The pool of movies left to watch is getting smaller and smaller. I have neglected some very good TV shows over the last few years, so I am going to catch up. I have three shows in mind that I know I would enjoy. So I am asking for your help in choosing which to watch first. Thanks for your help.

There is only room for one guy on this board to ask what TV shows to watch. ;)

Given your poll. You gotta start with Lost or 24. I voted Lost. You could easily knock out either (or both) and get caught up. Lost is only airing 6 (I think) eps in 2006 before a break-free run from Jan to May. 24 has run from Jan to May the past few years as well.

The Office

A friend of mine just bought season 2 and is bringing it over this weekend. I saw a few episodes of season one and thought it was hilarious. I'll be cranking those out before I start my next TV series.

you should be able to crank that out no problem. that and entourage are the two shortest half hours on tv, imo.

I hate it when I invest time in a television program only to find it going no where and have stupid plot lines. I get sucked into these shows because I want to stick it out and see if it gets good.

Yeah, I've got the Sopranos covered. :)

I actually already have freaks and geeks in my blockbuster queue. It has a 9.5 rating at IMDB. WOW!

I'll have to look into the others, I don't know much about them.

Hear, hear. That's why I quit watching altogether. I used to watch TV back in the 80's when you could always count on Family Ties, Growing Pains, Cheers, The Cosby Show, and my personal favorite Married With Children.

24 has been 5 seasons, and X-Files was 9. Lost is only starting its third, so that would probably be the best one to check out--because it won't take you that long to catch up.

Myself, I might have to start watching Smallville and Veronica Mars (and probably Supernatural), since I might be getting a job with the new CW network. :D

Good point. It looks like Lost starts on Oct 4. Plenty of time to watch 2 seasons.

I just checked on the Lost thread. 1,703 posts for two seasons? This must be a heck of a show.

I'd stick to Lost and the first two seasons of 24. Seasons 3-5 of 24 are good but shouldn't be a high priority. Freaks and Geeks was okay but ultimately nothing special IMO. I'm midway through S4 of the X-Files. I like it and would recommend it, but it's not even close to being on my top 10 tv shows of alltime list. Save it for when you've finished watching Lost.

Another two shows I'd like to recommend are:
1) Carnivale
2) Jeremiah
-Yes this show has Luke Perry and Malcolm Jamal Warner. Watch the first disc of season one and you'll be hooked.

Start with The X-Files and work your way up to the newest tv series.

I went with Lost. I’ll be using my blockbuster subscription to catch up on the first 2 seasons, while I start to DVR season 3. A friend is bringing me The Office this weekend, so I’ll be catching up on that one too.

Just watch the A-Team.

I love it when a plan comes together.
