Let's take abomb's list:

24---Fantastic show from season one to now..something I can't wait to watch. It's one of the best action shows on network TV ever. Great stuff.

Lost--Very good show that has me searching the web after every episode...great characters.

My Name is Earl--Awesome writing, great characters. One of my quick faves and great quotes.

The Office--Has gotten better with every episode....a must watch.

Arrested Development--Why the hell did this get cancelled? WHY WHY WHY????? I love this show so damn much.

Veronica Mars--One of the best non-watched shows ever.....simply amazing. And I heart logan.

Entourage--used to be just a fun show to watch, and now there is conflict and trepidation. This will be the new HBO frontline show. The first time I saw it I told everyone "this is Sex and the City for guys" and it has lived up to that billing. I love it. VICTORY!

Monk---I have only seen about twelve eps, but I LOVE this show, and Shaloub is incredible in it. I need to watch more.

Sports Night--Saw one or two eps...good but I have very little memory of it.

The Wire--Have heard good things about it, but never watched.

Alias--Season one and two are MUST WATCH....awesome. The rest you may love or lose interest. Me personally, I loved. I miss it and want more. A movie, please JJ?

Freaks and Geeks-- OMG...I have watched the first 9 eps of this series of 18 and am so in love. This may be one of my favorite series of all time. EVER. It just hits home so hard and so well. It is real, and is heartfelt and funny and I identify with many of the characters. Set in 79ish, it is still relevant to me born in 73. Such a great, great, great cast and incredible writing. It is a damn dirty shame it was cancelled, but the eps we have are to be treasured. I can't remember when I've thourougly enjoyed a TV show so much. Man. My wife identifies perfectly with Lindsey, the main character. I can't gush enough about this show, and I've only seen half of the episodes. If you haven't watched it...do it. It is great. If you grew up in the late seventies or early eighties...this show will resonate with you without a doubt. If you don't like it, your money back.

How I Met Your Mother--never seen nor heard of it.

Rescue Me---Heard good things...never seen it.

X-Files---seen a lot of eps and saw the movie. Never got entrenched in it like the major fans did, but it is a very good show.

D-Dogg, did you ever watch Carnivale or Deadwood? Two stellar shows that were cancelled well before their time (although technically Deadwood is still going).

I went with Lost. I’ll be using my blockbuster subscription to catch up on the first 2 seasons, while I start to DVR season 3. A friend is bringing me The Office this weekend, so I’ll be catching up on that one too.

Lost rocks. I absolutely love that freaking show!!!!

I fully expect to see you posting on the Lost thread come October 4.

I have Deadwood in my queue to get (only saw the pilot and I liked it).

I saw only one ep of Carnivale, and the guy was going down on the bearded lady. Bad first choice of ep to watch, and the show kind of weirds me out because of that but I'll probably get around to watching it soon enough.

That's classic. :D

That said, Carnivale is one of the worst shows in tv history to just watch a single show in the middle of the season.
