Award winning French breed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRJNUueNoao

We had him for a while but someone kidnapped him and swapped him with a useless replacement that wont shoot, eats donuts, and goes clubbin all the time.

Dark complexion, quiet, will pass if under the basket and about to draw a foul.

Responds to the name 3D

WoW, thanks for that I almost forgot what we had last year. Amare keep working with him. He was a force. Diaw next years most improved? :D Can someone win it twice?

Wow, I also forgot what he used to do. :p He seems to be working harder now...it sure would be nice to have the '05-'06 Diaw back with a better Amare.

Dang from watching that, Boris was the ultimate high post facilitator. Marion must have loved it when Boris had the ball up there.

The thing is, he made all of that look easy. If he gets back to that, which is possible even though nobody here believes it is, then we will be in pretty good shape. Boris high post, Amare low post, Marion garbage man with Bell and Nash on the perimeter. That's a strong team if Boris wakes the hell up.

Boris is the epitomy of a lazy one year wonder type player. Looking at those highlights compared to his performance last year makes me sick to my stomach. I didn't realise also how fat he was this last year when you compare him to THAT boris.

Don't get your hopes up because I would say 90% chance he is not going to be any good this upcoming year either.

The most exciting part for me about going into last season was the thought of Boris and Amare together. Add Marion and you'd have the best front-court in the league. It didn't quite turn out that way, and going into this season, it's hard to say which Boris will show up. If we sign Hill, Diaw will almost certainly come off the bench, so I don't expect him to have the type of impact he had in 05/06 even if he does improve.

It's easy to forget how good he was. Someone really needs to send that link to Diaw, lest he forgets too.

I know some are still dissappointed with how the offseason has started, but I'm pretty excited that the Suns are essentially bringing back the same team for another run. In the last 3 years the lineup has changed significantly each year (Nash, Amare, Q, JJ, Marion ---> Nash, Bell, Jones, Marion, Diaw ---> Nash, Bell, Marion, Diaw Amare). I have to think Diaw and Amare will play much better together this year.

This also makes me remember the french article that was translated here, with him saying stats dont matter and that his lackluster performance wasnt a big deal

MESA! :thud:

I crack myself up--I'm watching the video thinking, "Now THIS is the kind of rap I could listen to!" I had no clue it was Will Smith. I love Will Smith...always have. Guess I'm predictable, even to myself! :)

Oh, and although it was a Diaw video--it solidified how much I love watching Marion play. I know I'm in the minority, but I sure hope we don't get rid of him.

Oh man, he looked like a 6'10 guard out there with the way he moved in the open court.

Great passing, turn around J's on the baseline, high post iso's, blocked shots, tip dunks?

That was the Boris I became a fan of. I often wonder whether or not we will ever see that Boris again.

RIP 3D

Beyond the conditioning issue, I think Boris had a hard time figuring out what he was supposed to be doing.

A lot of what D'Antoni does is based on putting his five best guys on the floor at the same time, but it seems clear that just didn't work. IMHO, they need to use Boris when Amare is not on the floor.

PUtting the ball in Diaw's hands at the high post would be huge, especially if he can get that mid range shot to become automatic. Some of the options would include:

1. Take an unopposed jumper if the defender does not come out.

2. If the defender comse out, pass to cutters such as Marion on the backdoor or Barbosa on the give and go.

3. Pump fake and drive the basket where he can either dunk, kick out to a shooter, or do a dump pass to the weak side man.

4. Serve as the pick man in the pick and roll.

The defense has to either guard Boris with a big who would have a difficult time keeping him from getting aournd him or a smaller player that Boris could simply post up.

Using Boris as a substitute for KT as catch and shoot guy was a total misuse of his skill set. But with Diaw at the high post, Amare has to play differently than he has the last two seasons.

I hope we do. However, after Boris's recent interview in which be basically said he thought he had a good season and didn't see anything wrong....I have my doubts. Boris needs a Mike D'Antoni intervention or that Boris will never be back.

Boris is a "team" guy and his point was that all that matters is that the team plays well. If his early workout regime is any indication, it looks like he's at least working on getting better prepared.

That being said, I think D'Antoni's comments about using Diaw better needs to be considered. The Suns need to put the ball in Diaw's hands to be effective and they didn't.
