Just an update for you guys.

Mrs E has been won over now about the cost of this trip and I am at them moment on my lunch at work waiting to find out if i can have the holidays i need to do this. should know this afternoon (its only 4 days which isnt the problem, its that there are already folks off and i may need to see if i can them to change there plans - downer is they havent even heard of the NFL let alone my what this means to me and the Cards)

Like i say i should know later today. I have brought my passport and credit card to work so i can apply online for the visa and book flights later if need be.

WildBB - i dropped you a PM last night about the ticket. In case i cant make it will you be able to sell it?

To everybody else who who has offerred me a room for few nights - you are the absolute salt of the earth, the whole lot of you. I have been checking expedia and there are some great deals on holtels if i book my flight through British Airways thorugh them so it might not be needed (though i dont want to rule it out) To those who have could I have an your full name and address please, as if i do get the ok this afternoon i need to put the full details of where i am staying on that embassy form. (i suppose i dont actaully have to stay there but just so i can fill it in if that makes sense)

i'm trying to get a hold of WildBB (Bill) to make sure he has the ticket. Sure he good to his word just want confirmation. I have PM'd and tried the number he left but i cant get through....anyone know him who could drop him a line?

I have the time off but just want to know it all good before i buy the flight (which have gone up on price...figures!),

re hotel - question about the Ramada Perioa, its 3 miles from UoP stadium ands it a bargain with BA flights... also much would a taxi be from airport to the hotel? just trying to work stuff out is all.

Edit - is there golf course near for the sat morning?

For the taxi - The airport to UoP stadium is 21.4 miles

Taxi rates at Sky Harbor are: "The first mile is $5.00. Each additional mile is $2.00. Each hour of a traffic delay is $20.00. The minimum fare is $15.00. Each per trip airport surcharge is $1.00."

Looks like it would be between $42 to $47 bucks or so.

Theres also the super shuttle (shared ride) which would be cheaper.

if i had a ticket in my hand now i'm there. I dont doubt Wild at all but if who ever he bought the ticket of doesnt send it i'm up the creek...and its a long way to come to sit in parking lot

when i do get there i will be at westgate (where ever the hell that is) no probs. also need to tailgate from about 5am to make the most of it (that and i will be wide awake )

Yeah, the reason I got him the ticket was to guarantee him a seat for the game so he could make arrangements for the trip over.He wouldn't have gotten the tickets in time otherwise. Anyway the ticket just came about an hour ago, but I sent him confirmation yesterday of the sale. So the problem isn't on this end.

I never doubted you Bill , you are a legend for sorting this out for me. I was just the link didnt work and i couldnt get in touch, I'm sure you understand given the distance. Just let me know wehre to meet so i can give you the money. Also can you let me know where the seat is, will i be able to make the ASFN half time meet up from where i am?

i get in 18.35 on friday. i set of in the morning for about a 17 hours filght (inc conections), fly back on tuesday lunch time.

I'm staying at somewhere called Crossland Hotel - seems to be about half way between airport and Glandale?!? so i can taxi to Glendale when need be i guess.

I will we ate the meet up on sat night and want to try and maybe catch the second half of the Suns game friday if i can. Something to do Friday yeah!

so tailgating invitations please (DCR i will deffo stop by yours thanks for the invte).

If i could have some mobile numers before i go please so i cant contact you guys when im there that would be great.
