I meant at LT for the $ we were paying him.

Could someone explain how the salaries are gonna be paid now and how the cap is affected when players are traded?
The remainder of the Signing bonus is accelerated to next years cap and his base salary is gone completely. Or atleast I think that is how it works.

Great Trade!!

Henry is a stud!

Here's to hoping he will go get us 1400 yards next year and stay healthy.

Git - R - DONE!!!!!

Time to trade Henry to the Cardinals and start my mad rush for 10,000 yards next season... :)

I don't see the problem with this. Any coach of any sport at any level will do the same thing. All things being the same a coach is going to start(or give more playing time to) the player he likes or is more comfortable with. Thats the reality.

Is this really a knock on Green? To me its just stating the obvious.

Had you said he would start a player he likes over someone better then thats an issue.

Nothing is ever exactly equal. One player will be better than the other in one area or another. Green should play the player who gives us the best chance of winning and take the personality out of it. That is his job. Put the best players on the field. I hope in his mind that is what he is doing.

I never thought I'd see the day where we are complaining about getting a Pro-Bowl Caliber RB for a guy who was probably not going to play much here.

I am all for getting Henry but I am not underestimating what we are losing. An experienced OL who is probably better than half the starting OL in the league and who is under contract for 3 years at a fair price. I welcome Henry but this is no slam dunk trade. We are paying a price. Just because L.J. wants to leave because he thinks he is playing out of position does not make him any less a very good player. Sorry to see him leave and I wish him well and hope he makes his mark with the Bills. We are acquiring a need and losing a need so I guess it is a fair trade for us and even better for the Bills. Henry is excess in their scheme of things and they are acquiring a good player at a more than fair price. Now the big question where is the beef??? The new QB? Who will it be? Johnson?? I was sort of shocked that McCown was voted second as our likely starter next year. When do we have to make our tender offer to McCown and what do you guys think it will be? With the shortage of QB's in the league there is always someone who thinks they can change a guy so we may have to pay more than we think. Would you pay 2mil a year for him and sign him for 3 yrs? Just grouping for what is in everyones head as mine is sometimes screwed on crooked.

Shelton would have been our RT had he stayed. Unless you know something we don't about AC and Shelton.

I think Shelton could have been a very good RT on our team and we sure have no one of his ability to replace him. Good guy. I am not angry that he is looking out for himself and welcome Henry. Because a guy wants out of AZ does not make him dog meat. Lots of guys want to leave the teams they are on for one reason or another. If you are good you eventually have the levarage to get it done. I the Henry deal goes through fine. If it does not and Shelton stays that is fine with me also as I think this guy is classy enough to play where he is told and do the best he can.

I think Clif for the first time in his life hit the nail on the head on a topic. ;) :D

I think people pigeon hole Green way to much on so called players that fit Green's system, or Denny type players.

Green likes only one kind of player, Playmakers whether they are big or small, fast or slow, smart or dumb, if he is a playmaker he is a Denny type guy.

Would not all coaches like playmakers? I suppose we need to define playmakers. New England is the ultimate franchise using the "TEAM" concept in my mind. Many on their team are sort of nameless until this year. Even Brady was never given the publicity that some of the other QB's in the league. I think of a playmaker as just a guy who does the best he can and is good at what he does. What is your definition or what is Dennys?

"In principle" means crap until March 2nd. Who knows what else is included in the deal. Something, nothing, who knows.
