Henry got benched

Don't pay too much attention to apulshunny, an obvious Tom Donahoe hater. His view of Henry is jaded by his dislike for the GM. Henry is actually a solid guy who works hard and doesn't create a lot of waves. He's been screwed by the Bills in this situation and has held up better than I would have thought.

Not saying the Bills handled it well but I wouldn't call Henry solid based on some stuff in his past.

This is a guy who had to extend his original contract one year after just 2 seasons because he'd completely mishandled his money and was going to have to file for bankruptcy. Buffalo extended his 4 year deal by one year and reworked it so he got a bonus, met his financial obligations. That's why Henry isn't a UFA right now.

So you can easily argue Buffalo "stood behind him" when he made some mistakes in the past.

The Bills smartly extended his contract by 1 year at a discount when he ran out of money. You would think his agent would have helped him manage his rookie contract better... Henry never struck me as being overly bright, but I will never question his hard work or gritty hard-hitting running style. I've always thought he was under-rated in the AFC because of all the great backs in the conference. Any way you slice it, getting to the pro bowl (a couple of years ago) in a conference with Holmes, Portis, James, Williams, Lewis, Martin, Tomlinson, Taylor, Bettis and George is friggin sweet!
