Hard to believe:
1. DG would want out after two years, albeit disappointing years. Should he ask out...it's very unlikely he will ever get a head coaching job again in the NFL. College, yes. NFL, no. Perhaps he's fine with that...and maybe he wants to return to TV and have more free time to spend with his family and to fish.
2. Pete Carroll would ever want to leave USC. He's said before that it's the perfect job and place for him. Why leave?...especially to take a job with a perennial loser.
Would Pete Carroll be a good NFL coach at THIS point in his career? I believe he would. His stint at USC has done wonders for his confidence...and hands on coaches are becoming more and more prevalent in today's NFL...a la Dick Vermeil, Tony Dungee, Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis, Bill Cowher, Jack Del Rio, etc.
Norm Chow is going to interest teams...he brings a special talent to the position in terms of his offensive knowledge. With the talent the Cards have on offense, Chow would be very intriguing. If and when the Cardinals are searching for a new head coach, this time around they really should go after a coach with playcalling experience.
