Yep, and Bryant took over down the stretch, having made his point.
Bryant 1, Jackson 0. It was my guess all along that Bryant would get the better of this battle; the only argument seemed to be whether there would be a battle at all.

Some obviously weren't able to handle a dedicated Los Angeles Lakers thread which would have kept all of the Lakers talk in one thread, rather than having multiple Lakers discussions going at once.

Except for the Bryant/Jackson soap opera, the Lakers really aren't all that interesting these days. It makes sense that there would be more discussion about teams that are playing well, like the Spurs, Mavericks, and Nuggets.
I doubt there's much Suns talk on Lakers boards these days either, or at least much less than last season. No one really cares about teams in the middle of the pack.

Hmm ... I'll have to take your word for it. I know that some of the administrators are big Cardinal fans, but the strength of the Suns board doesn't have much to do with the football team.

Pro Football is such a huge sport that their numbers are likely to be larger than any basketball board - even for a team with mostly local interest like the Cardinals.
By contrast, I would guess that the Suns board has a much wider national/international following than the Cardinals side. I live in the area, but many of our most dedicated posters are from other areas so we hear about what is happening with other teams. It can be interesting as long as long as it doesn't attract trolls.

personally i would have never joined this board if it were about football. i cant tell you the last time i watched a football game but i do watch every basketball game i can get my hands on. so lets face facts here part of this site has a football side to it but most of the people posting here on the suns site are here for suns basketball.
