That soft zone in the second half was pathetic. Their TE was catching balls without anyone within 15 yards of him, several times.

I think that’s what everybody saw except for K9.

K9 did see it and even confirmed that on this thread... but it's his emotions late in the game which irritates, though those same emotions are part of the reason he was blocking like a beast

Lol the kid played great and still complaints.

Actually having a left tackle that can get to the second level and block a linebacker or safety is a really good thing and he was doing it all game long. The left side dominated in the run game, but um yeah it was Gresham who made it happen lol
Huh. I want my left tackle to be able to block defensive ends, so less skilled players, like tight ends and guards, and be blocking smaller guys at the second level.

Instead, we had Gresham blocking Robert Ayers by himself and combo blocks with Humphries and Boone where Humphries is the one helping out. Then Humphries moves to the second level and struggles to find someone to hit.

Again, I point to the Jet Sweep where Humphries ran 10-15 yards downfield without contacting a single Buc.

I’d certainly second your heroes list, though if you listed more than 3 I’d be for that.

It’s hard to argue with Bettcher. His defense clearly fell apart in the second half. Bethel actually has been showing improved position on several plays, but failed terribly at a key time.

I do take issue with Reddick. Those writing he’s undersized for his spot are correct. However, one of the best ways I’ve found to find how a player is doing is where is the other team’s running its plays. A good OC (the Bucs have one) will hammer an observed weakness. My review of the game indicated there was no concerted attempt to focus on Reddick’s spot either on the ground or in the air. In fact on the play where Winston rolled to the right it was Reddick who latched onto Winston’s foot, holding him until Jones finished him off. This is what put Winston out of the game.

I also disagree with those nominating Gresham. He was an approach-avoidance conflict. He did okay as a receiver and very well as a blocker. The penalties were dumb, especially timing-wise. If fair to say this isn’t a team of geniuses. I’m not all together sure there has to be three goats. In an emergency I’d pick Amos Jones. I know special teams finally made some plays. However, they also fair-caught the ball twice on the 5. The still can’t return kickoffs or punts to league average.

Reddick did play well against one of the best RT in the league ... it is pathetic, that last week everyone wrote that we want see anything out of Reddick because of the good RT and when he than only achieves to beat that RT 3-4 times the whole game and doesn't get the sack (he should have got the one mentitioned by Harry) he is a bust or a goat.

I concur, he played well and showed improvement, he has to learn new moves on the Outside. But now getting this reps, will probably make him a great OLB/ILB player and next year when Golden returns ... gosh, with a competent D-coordinator and our 3 guys Jones, Golden, Reddick - pressure will be generated at nausea and Opponents will have little to no time. Even if Nkedimche isn't elevating his play (but I'm not even sold on that, I think DD will call him out or get into his face if he doesn't play well and for sure start to push him).

So GOAT for me, Bettcher, BA in the second half with really bad playcall and Amos Jones for bad ST all over again.

Gresham was good in the first half, but destroyed a probable TD drive that would have closed the deal for sure. But the bad Playcall by BA was way worse.

I can't be so negative on Bethel, Dsean Jackson is a #1 WR on many other teams and he keept him in check for about 3 QRT, that alone is something to honor. Than that in the 4th QRT he gave up 2 big plays, reminds me of Cromatie ... he did that as well but to #2 WR that wasn't as good as Jackson.

Bethel did play himself into a good spot to get a big paycheck next year as a #2 CB somewhere. Even if some of you don't think so.

Bethel when is sticking with the wr cant locate the ball in the air
Is a huge limit for a cb
He is a free safety if we want give him a position
But being realistic is a special team player a gunner
Lets play people in their position of strenght

Maybe 3 years ago he was good on special teams, but right now he is a sub-average cornerback, and nothing more.

Haven't seen Bethel make a play on special teams in a looooong time.
