There is a possibility that an offense driven by three 30-plus year olds can have sustained success for 10 more games. That all these guys needed to recapture the spirit of 2008 was each other. It’s not likely, but it’s possible.

What’s more likely is that a 7-9 team encountered an opponent against whom they’d matched up well in the past and who was coming off one of those weird mini-byes. It’s likely that once teams see an offense with Peterson, Humphries, and Boone, they’ll know what to prepare for. There’s a reason that Kerwynn Williams was gaining 100 yards a start until he wasn’t anymore.

Adrian Peterson - The “All Day” trade reaped immediate dividends. Even if Peterson reverts to form from the last couple of years for the remainder of the season, a win is worth the cost of a 6th round pick.

Carson Palmer - Looked as confident as he has all season, even as the pocket collapsed around him. The biggest problem with Palmer is when he lacks confidence he throws dumb INTs, and when he’s over-confident he throws dumb INTs. He should get sacked in the second quarter of every game.

Larry Fitzgerald - He’s so good that even casual fans recognize that there’s something just different about the way he plays football. We should treasure every game we have left with him.

James Bettcher - There will be those who say that it doesn’t matter that Peterson was new to the offense. The way our defense was savaged by Ryan Fitzpatrick is a clear argument against that. Bettcher decided to sit on his heels on a lead, which is another example that he is drawing down the killer instinct this team needs to develop.

Justin Bethel - He’s just so bad. Compounding his being bad is that former 3rd round draft pick Brandon Williams is even worse, meaning the Cards have a real problem at cornerback (again) next season.

Hasson Reddick - There’s no doubt that Reddick has speed, but coming up from a lower level of competition is clearly showing. He struggles to get off blocks from even below-average offensive tackles, and if his first move (speed) doesn’t work, he’s toast.

Reddick over Gresham? Really?

How bout some love to the O-Line the left side was blowing guys off the ball and pass protected light years better than what we have seen in recent weeks

Gresham has been a good blocker yesterday
He deserve some credit on our succesfull running game

Reddick has a lot of speed but cant shed blocks, he never won a duel yesterday
Can just hit a hole and go full speed but in this case doesnt have more chance blitzing in the middle?
Need more strenght
He has to put on 10/15 lb

Add to the list K9 IMO:

1) Chandler Jones-relentless pressures & TFLs. He's leading the league in TFLs & doing everything he's done with with little help beside him!

2) BA-he said he was going to find out the running plays AD liked & he did. He pounded the Rock & called a balanced game! Well done BA:clapping:

3) Hump & Boone-they mauled Tampa left side in the run game & I saw DJ crushing guys at the 2nd level when he got downfield

I think that is the most important point to make here. I didn't read the post for at least a minute watching that goat gif. Goats are great little animals, FYI.

That being said, I agree with all, especially the standard second quarter sack of Palmer to keep him grounded idea. We can kill two birds with one stone, we can put Palmer in, and then sub in Boehm and Wetzel, and Holden, and it won't even look like the Cardinals are trying to get Palmer sacked, it would just be "a breather for the starters".

Heck we can even bring in Kerwynn Williams to pass block as well.

Lol, don’t think I’ll ever see Dansby on here.

Gresham should be the main GOAT with his performance yesterday, though.

Add to the List...

Hero- BA for calling a superb 1st half, it really was masterful on what he is able to do with the threat of the run
Goat- BA for calling a irresponsible 2nd half... and having that buffoon Bettcher calling his "lay down and zone" defense to also help the Buccaneers make it close

Agree with pretty much all of the above but I'd put Gresham in there over Reddick. He's just a flag machine.

That said, it was pretty disheartening seeing Reddick completely swallowed up every time he came off the edge. Kids got a lot of work to do.. especially for an early first rounder.

Gresham should be the main GOAT with his performance yesterday, though.

Gresham was actually a strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Just like when Campbell was here, not many could realize how important he was because all they looked at was his sack number and not how Calais freed the defense to get those sacks for him. Gresham probably had his best outing as a blocker to date from what I saw but nobody brings that up because a majority just rate a TE by the number of balls he can catch. Gresham just gets heated and then starts doing stupid stuff and he was bringing it all day blocking and of course the Buc players where starting to get frustrated, but he has to act like a pro and walk away when they start. If I where the Rams, I would tell my players to try to get to Gresham and give him a shove when the refs are not looking because the dude seems to always retaliate

Gresham scored the 3rd highest PFF grades on the Cardinals this week (82.0) , which corroborated what you saw, JG. He played hard and tough, despite the tough couple of penalties.

You must be registered for see images attach

TOP 5 GRADES:
CB Patrick Peterson, 87.3 overall grade

Edge Chandler Jones, 82.8 overall grade

TE Jermaine Gresham, 82.0 overall grade

S Tramon Williams, 81.9 overall grade

WR Larry Fitzgerald, 80.2 overall grade

PERFORMANCES OF NOTE:
HB ADRIAN PETERSON, 79.1 OVERALL GRADE

This was the Adrian Peterson the Saints expected to get this season, even to some close to the “old school” Adrian Peterson, even down to throwing a fumble into an otherwise excellent game. Peterson got off to a fast start and meshed very quickly with the combination of Jermaine Gresham and the returning D.J. Humphries on the left side of the line, gaining 57 yards on eight carries off left end exploiting their blocking and shaky run defense from the Bucs’ defensive backs.

LT D.J. HUMPHRIES, 79.9 OVERALL GRADE
Humphries turned in the best game of his pro career on his return to the field for the first time since he left the Week 1 defeat to the Lions. Humprhies allowed two hurries and was a force in the run game creating vertical movement on the left side for Peterson to exploit on his explosive debut. In combination with improved displays from A.Q. Shipley (74.9 overall grade) and Jared Veldheer (75.6 overall grade) this was a performance to give hope that this Cardinals’ offensive line could start to come together in the coming weeks.

CB PATRICK PETERSON, 87.3 OVERALL GRADE
Peterson was stingy in coverage, being targeted four times and not allowing a reception while notching a pass break up. Peterson shut out opposing WR Mike Evans when matched up against him on four targets. Teams will continue to shy away from Peterson’s side as he’s only surrendered seven catches on 20 targets thus far. Peterson left the game late with a leg injury so it remains to be seen how that will effect him going forward.

EDGE CHANDLER JONES, 82.8 OVERALL GRADE
Chandler Jones was a tough task for Tampa Bay’s offensive line, he accounted for 10 total pressures and recorded two sacks. Jones finished the game with a pass-rush productivity (PRP) of 17.8, which is currently tops for Week 6 among edge defenders. Jones did most of his damage rushing from the right side, recording seven pressures on 34 pass-rush snaps. Jones seven sacks thus far put him on pace for his career-high of 14 in 2015.

Gresham single-handily cost the team a scoring drive with idiotic penalties. For a veteran, he has too many mental errors and careless penalties. Really wish we could trust Niklas more.

Gresham did everything he could to single handedly try and sabotage that win. That was just awful. Peterson makes the Rams reevaluate the gameplan for this offense, so his performance will pay dividends for at least another week.

He was blowing people up in the run game and on most cases it was him who was giving that extra block to break Peterson. There was one play to the left side of all places where I did not expect to see him and he totally took his guy out on the edge... but he needs to temper his temper so to speak lol

Yeah. Gresham made the left side of the line look better than it played—Niklas, to his credit, contributed over there as well.

I can’t get past the image of Humphries getting downfield on that Jet sweep and finding NO ONE to touch. too often I’d look for 74 and the end of a play and see him turned around looking at how things turned out.

You’re a left tackle, you don’t get much extra credit for pushing around linebackers and safeties.

My biggest hope for the rest of the season is that we see this offensive line group together for the entirety of it.

Other than that, nice work. Hard to argue wit hit. At this point, I don't know if I will know to give Bettcher even if he earns it. Every week he seems to get the worst out of this defensive unit.

Lol the kid played great and still complaints.

Actually having a left tackle that can get to the second level and block a linebacker or safety is a really good thing and he was doing it all game long. The left side dominated in the run game, but um yeah it was Gresham who made it happen lol

They need to move Reddick around or allow him to hit the A gap on a delay like D-Washout used to do. He was getting swallowed up by the RT every play.

Gresham makes the Goat list for the simple fact that on a single drive, the Cards amassed 45 yards in penalties. He was responsible for more than half of them.

Weird. I read reports where he was blowing people up down field. Also they said he looked pretty good in run blocking.
