Nash has only 8 less rebounds then Dirk, shot for a better percentage and Nash took over. Did I mention the 16 assists.

On espn it was just asked, "what do you take away from this game?" (among bill walton and company). The first guy said the suns are still alive for number 1, and Bill Walton said without hesitation " Steve Nash IS the Most Valuable Player of the National Basketball Association. Good teams win at home and Phoenix came here and took this game from Dallas when they had a chance to bury the suns. Steve Nash-What a player".

its just that simple- Mv 3, Mv steve

Can't forget Amare. Dallas must really hate seeing a healthy Amare.

Most intelligent thing I have ever heard Bill Walton say.

I think both guys had a great game. dirk fell short late in the 4th qtr with his FT. I think he missed 2 late in the 4th. Nash played excellent in that last min. If you are judging based on that game....i would give nash the edge. I hope the game on the 1st is as good.

I really think both deserve it this year. Hey, can't David Stern fix the ballots so that there is a tie in votes again? :D

I think so too. Look at all of the players that benefit from the two respectively. Obviously in different ways....but that was a heck of a game. I don't think dallas can come away from the game too disappointed other than the first qtr performance and the last min. of the 4th.

How about Marion sacrificing his whole game for the team and still making huge play after huge play?

I agree that marion made 2 huge hustle plays that the suns could not have won without. the rebound that gave nash the 3 and the rebound put back late in 2OT. The suns played a lot in the halfcourt and that is more suited to nash and amare.

If anybody had told me that Nash would be the only overachiever in the rebounding department (had 2 less then Stat) and we would have won? I would have thought you were crazy.

Nash took over the game period. Nash's overall line was sick.

32 points, 16 assists, 8 rebounds

lets just say that this was a good team effort. we couldn't have even won this game without diaws contribution- we did only win by 2 after all.

Should have gave that extra effort to get the triple double :sarcasm:

You certainly have this right. Marion's contributions are frequently overlooked.

In regard to the MVP, if there is ever a time when the NBA should have co-MVPs this is the year. Maybe Stern can step in somehow and see that it gets done. I think both Steve and Dirk deserve it.

Nash is the MVP, no question. Dirk played well overall, but when it counted the most, he made crucial mistakes, and this separates very good players from MVPs.

30-16-6 isn't bad from dirk either. I agree that steve nash had a better game though more importantly in the final min. of the 4th where the game was drastically changed.
