Got to be honest, surprised we got a depth DL and a draft pick in the deal. Thought it was only going to be a very low draft pick. With three other RB's on the roster, good deal.

I can't believe that after all of the times we've "pursued" Vonnie Holliday, this is the way it happens.

Time to retire a jersey of mine. You'll be missed, Tim.

Wow. You can't look away for a few minutes...

Good luck, Timmy. You were one of my fave raves.

OK Beanie. No dropsies.

Good Luck Timmy and thanks for some outstanding memories.

We get a pick and Holliday. Let's hear it folks in the know, what's the scoop on Holliday.

Spot starter and decent back up. 7.5 sacks in two years as back up and starting 5 games.

IMO that was a bad deal. Holliday is what 86? THT is still a productive RB who has broken some long runs despite the fumbles. #34 was more than a solid player!!!

Someone was out after Williams was drafted. Glad we actually parlayed an asset into anything. Much better than cutting him like everything else.

While I think Beanie is the much better back I have always had nothing but respect and admiration for Hightower. He played his tail off for us and we NEVER would have made it to the SB without him. Thanks for everything and good luck Timmayy!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly. He is going to the right coach though to possibly become a true home run hitter. Easy to root for him in the NFC East too.

Lawson and Holliday play completely different positions. Holliday will play end in a 3-4, Manny is a 3-4 OLB.

For some reason I thought they would play the same position in our scheme. My bad.

+ 1.

I am shocked we didnt lose Hightower just outright. I know we tendered him as a second round pick, but with the backfield as crowded as it was here, I figured they would just wish him luck if another team wanted him.

Getting Holiday is the DL depth we have been lameting for past 48 hours. He is old, but he is only going to lay 10-15 snaps a game I would imagine.

Good proactive move. Who is this team?

That is ironic isn't it? Like others feel it doesn't seem like a good trade until you consider the Cards are getting something for a player they could have lost and received nothing in return.

THT was one of my all-time favorite Cardinals. This does not make me happy in the least. But he gets to go home to the DC area and play for a HC who knows how to use and teach RBs. I am happy for him, but sad for the Cardinals. This kid is a champion.

They had to trade one of them there just wasnt going to be enough to go around because Hyphen is still going to be used alot in third down situations they like what he brings there.
