According to a report in the Boston Globe, the Red Sox have spoken with the Diamondbacks about acquiring Koyie Hill, the club's No. 3 catcher who is out of options.
"A couple of clubs have talked to us," General Manager Josh Byrnes said, "but I wouldn't say it's one of those situations where we're that close to making a deal."
