urban saw improvement too, im not alone

He's on the payroll. He is pretty much required to find the bright side. I'm over the moral victory, rah rah, we'll get em next time stuff. That period should be in the Cardinals' past. These players should be held accountable, and the coaches should too. There is no excuse for holding a team early, only to let them smoke you for 21 points late. Our coaches are not good coaches, and will be out-coached on a regular basis.

Actually, I think the our punting and punt coverage was horrific. It cost us field position all day.

I missed some of the punts due to switching channels so my wife could watch some of her Jets game. I thought that what you posted was the case but didn't want to speak to something I didn't witness.

I did say passing grade since ST's did score 14 points.

It's a good reflection of the entire team. If we could just get all areas to to be decent we would have a winning record.

Our coaches are bad coaches? Would you prefer denny green? Dave mcginnis? I love our coaches after the hell AZ put me through

See a trend? Bad coaching leads to bad teams. How about a new idea... Get good coaches. Whis fooled us. And you cannot say Grimm and Davis are good. I'll give you Spencer, but seriously...

At least Dallas lost.

Hopefully it will take away some of the Favre love fest on ESPN this week.

If Dallas continues down this road would they draft a QB if they got the first pick? Romo is very good. I suspect they would trade down and get several picks. They do have a QB problem even before Romo went down.

Agreed.

The offense is not getting the job done, in this case.

Good post. Yes there is marked improvement in this area, and that area but:

A. There are still huge holes that are hard to overcome

B. All the improving peices have to function consistantly together. Meaning one players good game, is coming when another has a bad game. No consistancy.

What are these things you speak of? Offense getting the job done? Huge Holes? What are these things?

Offense not getting the job done:

1. QB cannot make throws at critical times to keep the chains moving. The more I see of DA the more I am convinced he is scared. His panic is probably the main reason for his inaccurate throws (that and footwork).

2. An offensive line that seems to have all your need. Road blocker guards, servicable OT's and a decent center cannot seem to run the ball with any consistancy. Again, can't get two yards if we need a first down. HOF coach who has had serious, serious sucess in the past.

3. Playmakers not makng plays. Fitzgerald is not horrible, but he has dropped more passes this year then I have seen him drop in that last 5 years. Not only that, we need him to step up more than ever and he is not.

4. Turnovers. Really do I have to elaborate ?

.......I could go on if nessicary ?

Huge Holes:

1. Pass rush. There is none. Our outside linebackers are worthless. Marginal in coverage because they are supposed to be pass rushing threats and they are far from it. I tip my hat to Porter last game, but we need some consistancy, and need a sack in a big play situation.

2. Our best NB is Adrian Wilson. :Shuddder: Michael Adams is horrible, but not as bad as Wilson can be in coverage. Toler and the regressing DRC are a fine set of CB's but our depth is scary. No NB makes it even easier to throw on this team to the inside.

3. Our ILB are either old and slow, or young and weak. Washington will come into his own, but we need someone else in there. Paris is good to have as depth but not as a starter. Hayes is damaged goods.

4. We need an upgrade at center.

5. No tight end on the roster that can block well, tho Dray has promise.

6. No QB.

Again. that is all off the top of my head.

Being 3-5 at this point doesn't surprise me.

Our offense put up 10 points. Our defense gave up a 14-point lead with 6 minutes left. Our special teams was the only bright spot. I refuse to be positive after watching the crap that our coaches gave us in what I like to call 'giving us the most ******** offensive and defensive playcalling possible'. And these horrific, gut-wrenching losses that we should not have to sit through are happening while any team with a shred of hope can win the NFC West. Too bad we really don't have a shred of hope.

So, why should we be positive again?

we are at or near the bottom of every major statistical chart. and still have a chance.

I wish Whiz would get us off the bottom of run attempts, I wish He would stop tossing like his hair is on fire with the worse QB's in the NFL.

I miss Matt Leinart way more than Kurt Warner. I am starting to miss Denny Green.

with the remain schedule I think its probable will still win the NFCW, but I have lost all trust and faith in Ken Whisenhunt, my hope is turning into raisens on the vine. He is over his head with personell powers and GM powers.

The CBA OWNERS STRIKE MIGHT BE A GOD SEND FOR CARDS FANS!

Our Defense is focused on scoring! not stopping the opponent.

Our offense is focussed on stopping the the opposing defense from scoring, not putting up points!

Its engineered that way! and it is not functioning.

It is possible but only, I think, if Hasselbeck is out again. Then again, the best team in the division won't be playing in that game. I just don't see how we'll manage to hold off the Rams.

Hell, right now, winning the division and getting massacred at home in the playoffs feels like it would be a huge win, and that's depressing.

Ye of little faith.

Have you learned nothing from 2008 ?

Rugby, you, I, and everyone else knew that we were being massively disrespected in '08, and that we played well at home. We were light-years ahead of what we are now in '08. If we miraculously manage to win the west (sad that it would take us a miracle to win it), we won't win at home. We just won't.
