Sorry, I only moved to Mesa 19-years ago. My hometown is real small-town, USA.

My home town high school turns out more scientists than football players. Name players in towns just down the road from me included:

Eric McCoo (Red Bank, NJ) RB Penn St.

Jason Peter (Middletown, NJ) the DT who played for the Giants and couldn't overcome numerous off-field "issues."

Weren't the Maloofs liquor distributors in NM?

If we depart from football (& stray even further) neighboring Middletown, NJ has been home to Geraldo Rivera, Connie Chung & Morrie Povich, John Bon Giovi and NBC anchor Brian Williams.

Bruce Springsteen used to live up the hill from us in Holmdel, but he tends to move within the immediate area every few years or so - I believe he's currently residing in Colts Neck. (There are frequent "Bruce sightings" in diners throughout the county).

Too many to mention all of them. How about these for a start:

Michael Vick
Allen Iverson
Lawrence Taylor, HOF (met him twice)
Alonzo Morning
Bruce Smith
Dwight Stevenson, HOF
Pernell Whitaker (Boxer)
Curtis Strange
Kwammie Lassiter  (I've got to include a Cardinal on the list.)
You've got to include a Cardinal on the list? How about David Macklin,Elton Brown, and Daryl Blackstock all from that same area who are current Cardinals
