I know everyone likes representing their hometown, especially when there's an amazing athlete coming from the same hood. This is just to see where different athletes came from. I'm sure most people don't know where most amazing athletes are actually from unless they're from close by. So this thread is more of did you know??, type thing.

Marshall Faulk: Carver Rams - New Orleans East

Kordell Stewart: Ehret Patriots - West Jefferson (N.O. metro)

Kevin Faulk: Carencro Golden' Bears - Lafayette

Eddie Kennison: Washington-Marion Charging Indians - Lake Charles

Karl Malone: Pope John Paul II Jaguars - Slidell

Mewelde Moore: Belaire Bengals - Baton Rouge

Terry Bradshaw: Woodlawn Knights - Shreveport

Albert Belle: Huttington Raiders - Shreveport

Michael Clayton: Christian Life Crusaders - Baton Rouge

Stromile Swift: Fair Park Indians - Shreveport

Domanick Davis: Breaux Bridge Tigers - Breaux Bridge (Lafayette Metro)

Jake Delhomme: Teurlings Rebels - Lafayette

Peyton Manning: Newman Greenies - New Orleans Uptown

Eli Manning: Newman Greenies - New Orleans Uptown (played against in 99)

Will Clark: West Jefferson Buccaneers - West Jefferson

They're plenty more i'm just drawing a huge blank.

Too many to mention all of them. How about these for a start:

Michael Vick
Allen Iverson
Lawrence Taylor, HOF (met him twice)
Alonzo Morning
Bruce Smith
Dwight Stevenson, HOF
Pernell Whitaker (Boxer)
Curtis Strange
Kwammie Lassiter  (I've got to include a Cardinal on the list.)

I remember when Albert Belle was real big.. I was living there at the time. I also remember Josh and John Booty..... Arnaz Battle attended my high school CE Byrd High...

I believe that Mississippi still puts out more NFL players per capita than any other state.

Santa Cruz boy I take it?

Guess Jim Hart (the basketball player) was before your time? I played against him in highschool, also the late Ricky Berry(son of Bill Berry the former San Jose State coach now longtime NBA assistant coach).

Was Incaviglia Santa Cruz or Monterey?

He also won a national Championship playing with David Thompson at NC State in Basketball.

Guy that went to my HS, whose older brother I used to roughouse with when we were younger, just got signed again by the Tampa Bay Bucs. Lance Nimmo. OT, played at WVU. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he'll stick in the NFL too long, but oh well.

Pretty sure it was Monterey. The Aldrete brothers were Monterey, I played basketball against Rich, Mike was at Stanford by that point.

We had an interesting deal one year in HS there was a 3 way tie for the CCS homerun title, Incaviglia, Barry Bonds, and Ken Camuso. You know the first 2, Camuso went to my HS(cupertino) but he had a really bad knee and we all knew he wasn't going to play pro ball because of it but still pretty cool to say you tied Bonds and Incaviglia in HR's one year.

Yes he was, he made the cover of The Hammond Times when they won, my dad still has the issue.

I'm gonna claim Newport News also as one of my previous stops. Add Ronald Curry - WR for the Raydahs on that list.

Also from my hometown in PA: Fred Bilitnekoff, Bob Sanders, Mike McCoy, Stepnoski

And here in Mesa - is there any? LOL Toby Wright, Bueller?

 I played American Legion Baseball with a guy by the name of Gary Kolb. He went on to play with the Cardinals, Mets, and Braves. He signed as an outfielder, but became one of the first all around players. He could play about any position, this kept him in the Majors for quite sometime. His nephew pitches for the Braves at present, (Dan Kolb). Gary was a very gifted, he played defense back for Illinois and was a very good basketball player. When he signed out of Illinois with the Cardinals in 1959, it was reported that he got $35,000 and a brand new Chevrolet Impala (Convertable). What a deal, "HUH". :)

Derrick Johnson and Ladainian Tomlinson both went to HS about 2 miles from my current house in Waco. Of course I just recently moved here so I never went to watch them play. There was a guy from my HS in New Braunfels, Texas named Terry Tausch that played in the super bowl for the 9er's in the 89 and the Vikings from 82-88. He's not exactly a superstar, but he has a Super Bowl Ring.

Athletes that came from my HS that i can think of:
Kyle Kosier, OL (recently signed with Detroit Lions)
Jonathon Beasley, QB (K-State and played with Jacksonville, Detroit, and Green Bay.)
Kyle Pooler, K (NFL and AZ Rattlers)
There are tons more that played college ball, but its all i can think of right now.

Preston Dennard, a WR for the Rams in the 80s, was the most successful pro athlete from Marcos de Niza (Tempe).

Anthony Parker from McClintock High, played several years in the NFL.
