The script is a bit fractured, even more than you'd expect for a part 1, but for the most part, the filmmaking is top notch.

The filmmaking is solid. The acting is okay. The writing is criminally bad. As Cheese said earlier in the thread, the characters are so shallow you don't remember names and don't care what happens to them.
