I guess everyone knows Boston beat the Lakers today. Just saying the Suns beat two very good teams in the Celtics and the Hornets. The Suns looked like the Titanic just a few games back.

Now if we could only figure out how to beat the bad teams. Lately we've been playing well against playoff teams but lousy against teams we should beat. If they figure that out, we could have a fun run like we did last season.

Its fun watching Gortat develop. That trade now looks like highway robbery.

Wow, we got another great win. NO has been on fire lately. It feels so much better beating a winning record team!

PS: Just watched the highlights, looks like Suns almost let Hornet tie the game. I like how Hill tried to block even though it was questionable. A lot of times guys would just watch that easy layup but with so few seconds left, just grab, foul, jump...whatever to stop the ball because sometimes the ref won't call because it's at the end of the game. Even if that ball went it, it's just a tie game.

I noticed that Gortat has been having two very good games against top tier teams. What has changed? I also have seen more dunks from him. His dunk seems to be a lot smoother than Lopez.

The Hornets are crying about the missed "goaltending" call on Hill at the end. Do all the blown calls in your favor mean anything, Chris Paul and Monty Williams? Well, shut up then.

Three reasons. Confidence. Confidence. Confidence.

He took a little while to become familiar with the plays, especially while coming off the bench. He believed in himself, but there is no substitute for knowing that his Coach, teammates, sportswriters and fans now believe in him.

It has showed in his scoring, defending and rebounding. And, yes, in his dunking (with authority) and even rushing over to be a peacemaker (team leader) during an altercation on the court.

The Suns thank you, Dwight Howard, for getting him to this point for the past three years.

I get frustrated by the guy also but I like the fact that he works his butt off out there. He's improved just about every aspect of his game and his teammates seem to genuinely like him. If he could add about 20 pounds to his hips and thighs he'd actually be a pretty good player. That's never going to happen, but still, IMO he has helped us much more than he's hurt us. He may be overpaid but that's true of 75% of the guys that lace 'em up.

I agree, I'm gonna call Channing and give him some pointers!

He's just a couple of midnight trips to Jack in the Box away from being unstoppable! I told people this diet had value!

Hehe jk I really do agree Steve I think if Channing would add a little bulk and toughen up he could be a force inside.

You're right though that's never gonna happen.

I agree but I don't think it's for lack of trying. Every year, in college, he'd come back a little bigger from summer break but he couldn't ever do anything to improve his base. He added muscle but little guys could still move him out of the key no matter how hard he tried to hold his position. He actually looks like he's improved his foundation a little in the past year but I doubt it will ever be enough for him to be a good inside player.

I miss the good old days when Jack In the Box actually had good tasting food. I think my standard order went something like this: give me a Bonus Jack, a Super Taco, a large Fry and a Jack Cola please. Oh yeah, and can I have triple bypass while you're at it.:D

Channing gets a bad rap around here, but the guy is surprisingly turning into a very durable player and actually reliable. He's not going to break any rebounding records, but he's very solid in several defensive areas.

I agree. Frye is becoming a much more rounded player and is no longer just a three point shooter. I think the Suns have developed Frye's game as they hope to do with Lopez. I think both have gotten too much grief on this board. I admit I have been too hard on Lopez.

When Frye's shot is on and he plays a little D it opens it up for the Suns. I want Frye to do well, but I guess he is the guy I harp on more than I should. Lopez looks like he is finally starting to wake up from his long nap that started after the play-offs last year. I think we can thank Gortat for this, Lopez has to know he better bring it now with the Polish job taker in the building. All of this is good for the team.

Gortat can do for Lopez what Howard did for Gortat.

If Gortat continues to develop (especially consistency) Frye's game complements his quite well. If you can get Frye to play some D, rebound some, and be an outside threat, it works well. You get slashing play from the 2 and 3 players and pg that can distribute and it doesn't look that bad. Our biggest need going into the future is probably a replacement for Nash.

Yeah Dudley and Hill can get easy points with Nash and Gortat playing the pick and roll, with Frye posting up for the 3. Gortat can bring Lopez up in practice quicker than any coach can, or has been able to.
Team looks a lot different now after adjusting to the last trade, thank goodness.

Carter busted his ass last night on a sub 500 team, when the game wasn't on National TV. He wasn't reaching some personal goal that would be on ESPN (like his 20,000 pt game), and he is creating when the offense goes cold at times.

If Lopez and Dragic play up to their potential, we can make some play-offs. If we make one more good trade, (I have no idea what that would be) we can do some damage in the post season.

The Hornets?

I know. Why don't people realize they are 13 games above .500 and 3 back of the 2nd place Lakers.

They were on a 10 game win streak before losing to Sac and then us. They had blow out wins over the Spurs and Hawks, and a solid win over the Thunder during that time. They play really good defense as well.

Good win for the suns last night i'm not the biggest fan of Carter, but I really like Gortat guy is a great team player who brings pretty good attitude to a team that needed it. Would be fun to see the suns rebound after a slow start this year and bounce into the 8th or 7th seed somehow who knows. GO SUNS!!!!
