I guess everyone knows Boston beat the Lakers today. Just saying the Suns beat two very good teams in the Celtics and the Hornets. The Suns looked like the Titanic just a few games back.

Three reasons. Confidence. Confidence. Confidence.I noticed that Gortat has been having two very good games against top tier teams. What has changed? I also have seen more dunks from him. His dunk seems to be a lot smoother than Lopez.
I get frustrated by the guy also but I like the fact that he works his butt off out there. He's improved just about every aspect of his game and his teammates seem to genuinely like him. If he could add about 20 pounds to his hips and thighs he'd actually be a pretty good player. That's never going to happen, but still, IMO he has helped us much more than he's hurt us. He may be overpaid but that's true of 75% of the guys that lace 'em up.
Steve
I agree, I'm gonna call Channing and give him some pointers!
He's just a couple of midnight trips to Jack in the Box away from being unstoppable! I told people this diet had value!
Hehe jk I really do agree Steve I think if Channing would add a little bulk and toughen up he could be a force inside.
You're right though that's never gonna happen.
Scarey part is Gortat can get better..Three reasons. Confidence. Confidence. Confidence.
He took a little while to become familiar with the plays, especially while coming off the bench. He believed in himself, but there is no substitute for knowing that his Coach, teammates, sportswriters and fans now believe in him.
It has showed in his scoring, defending and rebounding. And, yes, in his dunking (with authority) and even rushing over to be a peacemaker (team leader) during an altercation on the court.
The Suns thank you, Dwight Howard, for getting him to this point for the past three years.
Channing gets a bad rap around here, but the guy is surprisingly turning into a very durable player and actually reliable. He's not going to break any rebounding records, but he's very solid in several defensive areas.
When Frye's shot is on and he plays a little D it opens it up for the Suns. I want Frye to do well, but I guess he is the guy I harp on more than I should. Lopez looks like he is finally starting to wake up from his long nap that started after the play-offs last year. I think we can thank Gortat for this, Lopez has to know he better bring it now with the Polish job taker in the building. All of this is good for the team.I agree. Frye is becoming a much more rounded player and is no longer just a three point shooter. I think the Suns have developed Frye's game as they hope to do with Lopez. I think both have gotten too much grief on this board. I admit I have been too hard on Lopez.

Yeah Dudley and Hill can get easy points with Nash and Gortat playing the pick and roll, with Frye posting up for the 3. Gortat can bring Lopez up in practice quicker than any coach can, or has been able to.If Gortat continues to develop (especially consistency) Frye's game complements his quite well. If you can get Frye to play some D, rebound some, and be an outside threat, it works well. You get slashing play from the 2 and 3 players and pg that can distribute and it doesn't look that bad. Our biggest need going into the future is probably a replacement for Nash.
Carter busted his ass last night on a sub 500 team
The Hornets?
I was talking about the Suns. The Hornets?
