I was so thrilled to see them go right to Ayton on the first play and to see him go right up with the shot.

A lackluster quarter. The Hornets lead 19-18.

She just called Diaw “Doris.”

oh my lord... did NONE of us EVER dub Boris that during his disappearing acts? I find it hard to believe but I'm pretty sure that's a nickname I would have either come up with or jumped on the bandwagon for.

End of 1st quarter:

Suns 30 - Hornets 29

It shows the Hornets played last night. They didn't apply the defensive pressure the Suns usually receive.

Well if we manage not to fall behind by 30 before halftime we should win this game handily

Oh yeah, it happened often here after his first season with us.

The nice thing about falling behind by 30 early in the game is that the other team loses focus and let's us come roaring most of the way back.

Two of the worst entry passes I've ever seen so far. Ayton wasn't even in position and Jackson throws it into him for a turnover.

He wasn't even in position to catch the ball wtf

It was nice to see Josh shoot that layup with a little touch.

Ayton is a project and is out of the game... too effin' passive especially on the defensive boards.

Booker looks to be having back problems. He is coming out of the game.

Going to the locker room.

Why? Charlotte is playing on the second night so we have that going for us but otherwise they have been quite a bit better than us (to date).

Because we should be 100% desperate for a win on this homestand, and this is easily the most winnable game to date... and just like that Devin goes down with a potential hamstring. :(

In the East.

Yes and they've been horrible against the West this season but OTOH we are 4 -12 against the East while the Hornets are 17- 12 there. And while they haven't played nothing but the cream of the West crop their losses have come against teams that we lose to. So far they have losses to Utah, Minnesota, New Orleans, Lakers, Dallas, Denver and OKC twice. They are better than us by any measure IMO, quite a bit better.

He hasn't been the same since he landed hard on his tailbone a few games ago and this looks related. Sit him. Sit him for a month if necessary.
