How badly Lindley stunk scientifically.

That's the nonsense right there. Give me a break. The Cards signed Lindley Nov. 11. The Cards would've had nearly 2 months to get anyone familiar with Arians system into the playbook.

My preferred candidate was Byron Leftwich. Give a veteran quarterback 2 months and they'll be able to deliver play somewhat approximating what a professional quarterback would produce--which is a quantum leap above what Lindley spewed out onto the football field.

Kyle Orton was signed by Buffalo on August 29, was named the starter on September 29, and completed nearly 75% of his passes with a TD and INT a week later in a game against the Detroit Lions.

Do you mean the Byron Leftwich who had not been in the NFL for 2 seasons, and had played in 3 games the last 5 seasons, completing 50% of his 60 passes in that time frame? I think Warner was a more likely scenario.

We were on our #3 QB, and our #4 was so bad, that he got benched after one practice. We were doomed. Period. We were as likely to catch lighting in a bottle with Lindley, a guy that had at least been on a football field in the past couple of years, as we were with anyone else. And not very likely, at that.

Oh, and the defense wasn't playing at nearly the level they were in the beginning of the season. Someone on the board said "We ran out of bullets." They were right.

I consider his insistence on using Lindley is first major coaching blunder in AZ.
He did what he thought would give the team the best chance to win. We will never know if it was the right decision.
If he had started Thomas and LT throws two pick sixes in the first quarter he would get roasted for that. There were not really any good options.

Lindley lovers where u at?
Even his family disowned him as a QB

Pathetic
He was awful. But honestly, when they showed his family at the game, I just felt bad for them. Yes it's a man's game, but that was his dream and you just know they wanted so bad for him to do well. To go out like that is hard core. In front of your mom's and pops. No Bueno. Very tough game, the NFL. It ruins dudes, families.

And yes, I know nobody cares, but it's just a game. A stupid game.
