I'm posting this because I just got off the phone with DirecTV and something doesn't sound right.
I just changed my package. I had the "ultimate" package which included all the movie channels plus Fox sports Arizona which I watched suns games on. Well I rarely watch movies so I didn't need all the movie channels...But these guys are telling me that in order for me to watch suns games next season I need to have the ultimate package to get Fox sports which includes all the movie channels I don't need or want!

If this is true I will just get NBA league pass next season...It will work out to a little bit less than half of what the ultimate package would be (I kept HBO however for Bill Mahr and Game of Thrones).

If you don't live in Phoenix, the league pass is the way to go. If you are in the Phoenix television market, you have to bite the bullet and get fox sports AZ

Dang, I've got Direct TV, too so I will probably get hit with the same choice.

I pay $20 a month for SlingTV. Includes Fox Sports. For an extra $10 I add Pac12 during football and basketball season. I just turned that off til September. I can make changes through the app whenever I want.

I have the cheapest Cox internet and it powers SlingTV perfectly.

I have international League Pass up here in Vancouver and that allows me access to basically any non-Nationally televised games. Seeing as the Suns are barely a blip on the news up here in Canada since the departure of Nash, it means I get to see the majority of the Suns game on it. I have it on my phone and chromecast it when I want to watch it on a bigger screen.

It also means I get to catch random games whenever I want. I am a big fan of the international league pass.

Direct TV. I got the xtra package, so no fox sports Arizona for me.

It sounds like a nice package.

Somehow I got grandfathered into FSAZ but I have been a customer more than 20 years.

Lucky.
I miss fox sport Arizona. It was free with Comcast but that is not the case with direct tv. Ah well.

Good luck. It's always good to review your options after your contract runs out.

I didn't miss a minute. Call me a masochist if you want. I have DirecTV out of state with League Pass and get all the Suns Fox broadcasts unless it's a Lakers or Clippers game.

Same here. It was a struggle to watch, some nights, but a healthy Booker made it worthwhile and then Jackson took off and that really helped the view-ability. It seemed the start of every game was a real challenge to enjoy but very few games felt completely unwatchable to me.

With a good coach, a healthy Booker, the most recent iteration of Jackson and an influx of additional talent via the draft, trades, or free agency I believe next year will be a pleasure even if it doesn’t result in wins. We should start to see the beginning of things taking shape.

Yes. I think in this draft we are guaranteed to get one of Ayton, Bagley, or Young. So that will be interesting. I suppose they could draft Doncic or Jackson. I am not so high on either of them. Jackson has potential, but it will take too much time for him IMO. And of course, we have had our discussions about Doncic. He scares me, but if we draft him I will hope like heck he turns out.

So it will be fun to watch, one way or the other.

Ouchie, do you really mean that? The season will be a pleasure even if it doesn't result in wins? After eight years of missing the playoffs?

I am concerned that your post opens the door to tanking once again after the first few games of next season.

I have to believe that most of our posters would not consider the season a pleasure even if it doesn't result in wins. That has been going on for too long.

Building chemistry among a revamped roster early in the season is one thing. Next year not resulting in wins .. nope!

To be fair, it will be harder to be WORSE than we were this year, then it will be to be better.

I don’t think I’ll be interested in tanking as I hope we’ll have three stud pieces. I also think I’m perhaps more realistic than most when it comes to where this team is and what it’s developmental trajectory likely is.

I can be entertained by watching a young team learn to play together. For me it needn’t result in wins yet, but that should be the goal. The primary difference from this and last years is that I won’t be openly rooting for losses I can just accept them as I watch a hopefully talented and entertaining team start to progress.

And in regards to my being realistic . . . I was the one who started the tank thread for this year as I clearly saw where this season was headed. As a result I’m sure I had a better time this season than many fans who were hoping (unrealistically) that we were going to be a winner. If you want to truly enjoy next season, I suggest tempering your team expectations and concentrating on the individual players.
