It was only a borderline foul. The general rule is that "the hand is part of the ball." Barbosa was hit on his wrist but it didn't cause him to lose control of the ball. I don't think that would be called a foul very often.
Now the Okur call, that's a bit harder to explain. And the fifth (offensive) foul on Bell was ridiculous as well.
I should clarify, the slapdown on Leo going to the basket at the end of the game was a borderline foul, often not called unless its Kobe or another non Nash superstar. Some other fouls on the dribble penetration were comitted earlier in the game on Leo and not called. You might explain that by saying a higher physical contact was allowed for both teams, or "let em play", though clearly the Jazz were allowed more contact on D throughout the game. Amare was called in the first half for a block on Boozer that clearly was an O foul. Later they got it right when Boozer plowed him over again on what should have been his 5th foul. The turn of the screw was that Amare actually shouldnt have fouled out.
The Okur foul was the one that I thought was the referee directly impacting the outcome of the game in crunch time, NO CONTACT AT ALL. That call is almost never made, even if there is contact before the shot(a slapdown), when the shooters team is down 3 with seconds remaining. The fact that the foul call was made on NO CONTACT, makes it a posterchild call for referees impacting the outcome of the game.
The Raja foul was just Raja tripping over his own man, it was a disgrace as well, but not nearly as bad as the Okur call.
