How hard would it be to trade up?

I'm not talking huge jumps, but even going from 6 to 3 is pretty major when it comes to the draft. In Anthony's case, he was very high on most boards all the way through, but his performance in the tournament certainly helped cement it.

Right now there is barely a 50% overlap between boards on their first round listing. They will get closer to 90% after the college declaration date and be very close by draft date. The mock drafts tend to fairly accurate - unless something strange happens like Lampe's contract confusion. It doesn't mean they are right, just that they reflect the consensus view.

BTW, Amare was generally assumed to go much lower than he did. It was only after the fact that it was learned that Miami was also planning on taking him and ended up with Butler instead.

Okafor is a dominant shot blocking/rebounding force. Heighth is over rated nowadays.

I would much rather have a super skilled guy an inch or two short than a stiff that is the perfect heighth.

Okafor would be a great backup PF and either him or Amare could play backup center behind our starter(Camby or Dampier)

With those guys next year we would be one tuff team.

Zarko "could" play some PF, but I would much rather him create major match up problems as a tall SF, because with Marion we would have arguably the two hardest SF's to matchup with.

I'm on record as saying I like Okafor. The original question is "what would it take to trade up for him?" Would two picks for one get it done? What else could the Suns offer?

It will all depend on which teams get into the top two. Atlanta may want to take Howard, but might prefer to pick up more draft picks. Chicago probably would want to use their pick.

Okafor's college résumé is pretty impressive, but I still am very curious to see how he measures in Chicago. His height is important, but I'm more concerned with his standing reach. It's strange because sometimes I think he is every bit of 6'9", and other times he looks like he might only be 6'7". My other concern is that he doesn't seem to have athleticism like a Ben Wallace or the offensive game of someone like Elton Brand.

That said, I would not be in all opposed to the Phoenix Suns drafting him, but I'm not sure they would pass on a blue-chip prospect like Howard to do it.

I'm pretty sure they won't get the chance to pass up Howard. :D

With two picks to offer I think we have a shot at getting Okafor. Jacobsen is haveing a solid year and if added to the trade could make a team take three players over just one.

"IF" and thats a big IF, we sign a good center like a Camby or Dampier, I could see the Suns also offering Little Jake and a draft pick to snag Okafor.

I think in our situation it is very possable. Although very unlikely... :D
