Believe me i like the deal but how long before fans start to boo him? He hasn't done much since he has been here but to be fair he hasnt been here long at all. I think he still has time but not much time to prove himself. Now that byrnes is going to try to come back this year what the beep are we going to do with three first basemen and a hot hitting tracy is already being benched for clark. I still think clark has time to ptove him self but not much before peopel start doubting the deal. I hope he proves himself because i am glade he is back in a d backs uni. Tracy can play third but what about reynolds i guess having to many good hitters is not a bad problem.

I wasn't crazy about the deal, but even though he's 0/5 with an error since coming back to AZ, I'm not going to boo him. I absolutely don't think a red hot hitting Tracy should be benched just so Clark can play here and there. If anyone should get booed it's Melvin. But right now, the team does not need any of that, especially when the ballpark will be invaded with babybear fans this week.
Oh, when will fans boo him? Probably once the team is seven games behind out of first, but Clark is held with such high regard, I don't see them turning on him.

Tony Clark is literally going through Spring Training right now. You can't sit for a half a season and expect your timing to be Major League ready.

Give the guy a break, huh.

BTW, he started at 1B because Melvin didn't want to start Tracy in a day game following a night game. If it weren't Tony Clark, it would have been someone else.

What's it been? 3 games? Good lord...

He was brought back for defense and leadership, anything he does with his bat is just an added bonus.

Why the heck do they need to sit Tracy though if he's doing so well. I mean, at least better than Clark. And whether or not Clark is ready to play, the guy who is producing the most should be playing. Listen, I guess its nice we got Clark back, but lets not screw someone's rhythm up just so Clark can get some at-bats.

According to Melvin, he set a limit on the quantity of consecutive days he'll start Tracy because of his previous injury.

Also, the last start for Clark at 1B was a day game following a night game.

OMG, I'm defending Bob Melvin.

It looks like he did start going to a more consistent batting order (as well as running some hit-and-run plays) recently. Let's see if it continues.
