Those of us who have been close to women who have battled breast cancer understand and I believe strongly support the wearing of pink. Those who haven't don't get it. They have no idea how it affects you and the woman in your life who has the cancer.

I agree whole heartedly with Cardpa. My mother died 30 years ago this coming January from Breast Cancer leaving 5 kids with me as the oldest (15 at the time, the youngest 3) to help my father take care of us all. So I know the heart ache that comes from this disease. I support the cause 100%.

I thought wearing pink was optional.

I think it is. I see some players wearing more pink than others.

you know i read somewhere that prostate cancer is just as deadly as breast cancer why don't men get an awareness month? just sayin'

As Linder said, they do. If you want the NFL to bring attention to it, then maybe you can contact them and see if they wouldn't step up and do something for that as well.

All cancer sucks and, if this campaign helps draw attention to fighting cancer then I'm all for it.

All well and good. But Breast Cancer is not the most deadly cancer. What about those people?

Shouldn't the NFL/etc do a full blitz on prostate and testicular cancers? Which is an area that the NFL has the greatest reach for those effected by it?

Chances are, if they ever do find a cure for breast cancer it will also benefit other forms of cancer. I'm all for each and every dollar spent in support of this disease whether it's for breast cancer, prostate cancer or any of the many other forms this disease takes.

allright i'm just gonna say it and take it way off topic, there is no money in fast effective pop a pill get a shot cure for cancer,
the money to be made by big pharma is in loooooongterm treatment, kemo radiation surgery
it seems like we have basically been treating the symptoms of cancer for as long as i can remember and the same way,

do you know how many forms of cancer have been found in the archeological record?
maybe our ancestors knew something we don't
