Let's blame the stock market decline....national budget deficit....and the excess midwest spring rains on him as well....I'm sure he had something to do with it.

It is not Graves fault there is no June 1 talent but he was the one who said judge us after June 1st with the implication we would probably sign somone with ability after June 1st. Maybe we will but I doubt it. We have all this cap money and what good is it to the TEAM? We could have used it to overpay some of the free agents we could use when they were available. I think our plan is as always to get by as cheap as possible which inevitably produces a team with a losing record. We have a draft rated by many as "F". We do not utilize our cap money. We let Boston walk. What is really new with the Cardinals. Graves seems to have been to the same Bidwill school for GM's that our previous guys attended.

The Cancer

No one is arguing that Bidwill is the cancer.

Sometimes cancer can be defeated.

It could mean an upgraded buffet table at training camp. No more five gallon black-and-white labeled cans. Brand name baby!

So - the Darkside leader has rested for now. I'm just tired of these arguments. One last thing though, if there are major holdouts - the gloves are coming off again.

In the grand words of my mexican brother - Micah Lashbrook:
ADIOS!

It's all good.

I am an pretty optimistic about this season but this site would be pretty damn boring if everyone saw eye to eye. The only thing that pisses me off is when it gets into name calling which happens on occasion.

I am a football fan and not a football guru what I have to say is from a fans point a view.

After being a Cardinal fan for nearly 30 years I can't say that I blame you for being a Darksider.

Me, I have always liked the underdog.

I think it's turning out that Graves miscalculated when it came to June 1.

It probably will be up to the guys he did bring in to prove him right. If they do, cool.

Otherwise he should be held accountable in the same way George Boone and Fergy were.

With one major exception - Boone and Fergy were experienced GM's - this was Rod's maiden voyage.

That doesn't excuse things, but if we're gonna get mad, it should be at the Bidwills - who put a rookie Player Personnel guy in a position that calls for considerable experience and wisdom. At the very least, they should have brought in a qualified experienced assistant to help Rod over the rough spots.

Absolutely not true, that was not what RG said.

He said Training Camp, by my calander we are not in Flaggstaff yet or did I miss something.

Regardless, one year is not a valid test of a GM, the whole point of a GM is to build the team and if at all possible keep it built.

One thing RG has done is to get out cap under control. You might not like how he did it, but bad cap management have been handicapping us for years.

The only smart thing said in this entire thread!

ANd I will say AGAIN. Why sign players we don't need to overpriced contracts? SO WHAT we got 14 million under the cap. Save it and maybe someone next year like OWENS will be available and we can out bit everyone in the NFL and pick up a true impact player.

Antonio Freeman ?!!? Man, we are not that desparate.

As for Gadsen I would take my chances with starting Boldin.

Peace

Well, that's accurate but not really relevant since no one really forsees any additional players of value getting cut before camp.

I mean, sure it's not the start of camp yet but the talent pool now is pretty much the same talent pool you'll be dealing with on July 20.
