Typical Nobel Laureate response from you.

"Your mom!"

You call negative, I call it fact. Let's copy the dozen quotes from Rod Graves about how we're going to sign some June 1 talent. That'll clear things up, no?

I don't think Graves ever said we would be making a big splash come June 1st.... I believe he mentioned that as free agency as a whole....which we have signed our fair share of free agents and tried to clean up.... If Covin and/or Holliday had signed with us it would've been a fantastic free agency period.... I still think he was right that we made a big splash in free agency... I like the changes we made as a team so far.... and remember there still may be additions to help this team in the next couple days.... remember that the Patriots built their Superbowl team with mid tier guys.... you need to find value for the money... don't throw it away.... Again, give the guy to the start of training camp in flagstaff to see what the team looks like at that point. So chill out and let's see what happens!!!!

If there is no one out there, those are the breaks. Then turn to extending our own players to lock up the talent long term so you can add more good one next year and keep building a core of good talent!!!

I disagree that Rod Graves did not reference signing some June 1 guys, but I agree with this statement 100%. Let's chill. This isn't a big deal.

Running out and signing some loser like Stokes won't help anyway!

Sticks and stones......you're more in to this stuff than I and if you say he was depending on June 1st cuts to make or break the season then I believe you.

I can't believe he's that stupid.

He didn't say "make or break the season" but he did specifically say a number of times that June 1 would be an important part of the free agent process.

Don't think that's going to happen. Do I think it matters? No. But graves misjudged.

Yep, there's that beautiful negativity rearing it's ugly head.... because everything they've done in the past 10 years has worked so well........... let's try something else........ as I have said many times, some people are never happy unless they have something to complain about.......again, if we had signed the NFC pro-bowl roster in free agency, we would have someone complaining why didn't we get the AFC instead or both!!!!!!!! yap, yap, yap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's say no one of any significance gets cut.Can we then judge Graves on the job he has done? Our roster will not be changing much between now and opening day and Graves said to judge him by the roster in September.I don't think Graves will be happy with grades he receives from the majority of fans out there.

OK Ed, Cheese, Fan, and all you other naysayers out there, what kind of magical OIUJA board that you own could you have been able to figure out all the moves that would have turned this team into a perenial Superbowl contender? Show me! It's how the the luck of the draw turns men.

Oh, and by the way, how many offers have you freaking Rhodes Scholars had to become a GM in the National Football League?

Ummm, it's a freakin' game children. With moves made that are out of yours and mine control. If you don't like the moves, don't follow the team. I for one, am going to back the organization, because that's what a FAN does.

I'm not explaining this to you again. Go back and read the 5 responses that address this, assuming you can.

My point is. That if you were in his place, you would have known exactly how these chips were going to fall and sign everyone that you deemed relevant to making the Cardinals the dominating team of the new millenium? Hind sight is 20/20 bud. If you could have done a better job, than get your resume over to Warner and Hardy right away, because you're just blasting crap out of your typing pie hole.

Actually I apologize. Just tired of all the negativity. This is a brand new team, stop blasting it until we at least see one camp scrimmage. Then blast away.

I am trying to find a quote where Graves says that he will rely on June 1st to build the team.

Here is what I recall:

When things were going slow and we had not signed any free agents yet, Graves asked eveyone to be patient and judge the team when they went to camp. He also added that they will improve the team several ways...Free Agency, the Draft, and post June 1. I never remember him saying that there was going to be a bonanza of talent available post June 1. I do recall him saying that there will be opportunities in each of those categories.

It remains to be seen if a post June 1 guy will be signed by the Cards, but to say Rod predicted a free for all after June 1 is inaccurate.

I may be worng, but I think I am right. If there are any links with quotes from Graves saying that June 1 was going to be a bonanza, please post them for me.

Can't the damn season start already - why can I see most of us just going at it for the next month or so until training camp starts.

Look - and I hope this is the last time I have to write this - darksiders and optimists aren't gonna see face to face on pretty much any issue - each side has and will be looking for anything to validate their opinions (see the elation at signing a sixth round pick thread or MY over-reaction to not signing Marcus Robinson) - let's just let it rest - we've been talking about the same damn thing for MONTHS!

Look - and this is what I think a lot of people who have told the Darksiders to get lost miss here - I can speak for only mysefl and my brother PHXSPORTS4LIFE - hopefully we will have a healthy buffet of Crow to eat during the season - I'll be first in line with a smile as wide as the Grand Canyon. We love this team just as much as any of you. Just because we are not as optimistic, forgving or taking a wait and see attitude doesn't mean we don't love this team and I for one am pretty tired of being told how I feel about this team or what kind of fan I am.

Thus since the wheel goes round and round - I wil not comment on Graves anymore - no one ever wins, and in my experience, it doesn't even seem like anyone pays attention to arguments made - it's understandable - everyone by this point pretty much know where everyone's opinion lie on this board - I get tired of making the same arguments to support my opinion as I assume most everyone else does.

I am excited for the season for a couple reasons. One, it's football - the greatest sport in the world and I am lucky enough to have a team to root for unlike my freinds here in Los Angeles who have nothing but the pathteic LA Avengers (nice win by the Rats last tonight by the way) 2. I have come around to the idea that having all these young guys at WR should be exciting (good or bad) 3. There should be some interesting questions that will be answered on the D-line - like should Joe Greene have a job - can Wendell be the man - was Pace a reach or a diamond in the rough? Can KVB play to the level he did his first year in the league before he got injured when I was excited about him? 4. Last - is this Mac's last year - can he truly be the motivator everyone has talked about - I saw it his first year with us, but not so much last year - I hope he returns to form.

So - the Darkside leader has rested for now. I'm just tired of these arguments. One last thing though, if there are major holdouts - the gloves are coming off again.

In the grand words of my mexican brother - Micah Lashbrook:
ADIOS!

All I can say about Pace is that he looked better mechanicly than the other folks around him today.

But that was a nice photo of him almost getting to Josh wasn't it
