Lol. A spiteful thread but amusing and I like it. I think I could maybe hit the boards with 'em. And I'm 5'11".

I should be able to sneak in for one or two when Lopez/Amare/Dudley collide while trying to get a board.

I think I can get 6, 3 when Amare is out of position. Two on deflections by Nash or Hill and one when Frye chucks up his 12th three of the game and Amare is in foul trouble so he just avoids all contact.

In a van...down by the river.
Today at the age of 40 i would be lucky to get one rebound....even if you strapped me to Marcus Camby's back.

i could probably get about 4 or 5.:D
At 5' 7" i could jump thru the gym with a 37.5 vertical and was always the best rebounder on the floor under 6'.
Ahhh memories.

You would have to be lucky to get one. Meaning the ball would have to bounce off the rim in the most oddest way where you just so happen to be standing. Otherwise, if this thread is serious at all, I feel bad for the original poster.

I believe you have confused yourself with Nate Robinson.

I see your point :D
I wasn't a very good passer. I had a nice shot though......and i could guard/harass/frustrate people on "D" ;)
This thread is silly, but there isn't enough sillyness on this board anymore.

So, could you dunk back then? I can only touch halfway up the net, and I'm at most 5'9". I feel like I should at least be able to touch the rim at that height.

2 years ago I could throw it off the back board to myself and 2 hand it, catch alley-oops and do one hand up and unders... Now I can just 1 hand dunk.

I'm 6'2 and 23 years old tho haha.

Just stand next to Amare, he won't box you out and more than likely you could draw 2 fouls on him when he reaches in to try and steal the ball.

I love basketball but its freezing here in NY so you can't really play ball till May-June. I have a good jumpshot and three pointer (kind of grew up emulating Nash so I tried to shoot and pass like him). One time I twisted my ankle and still went off on a team and led my team back from 12 points to win lol, that was my most memorable moment. I can't dunk, just fast and very active like Dudley. Can't wait for spring! I already started my basketball drills =)

Programs like "Air Alert" work pretty well. You really have to stick with it. It basically consists of a lot of jumping up and down. I used it back when I was in middle and high school.

How much does it cost? I might give it a try. Im sick of only being able to touch 2/3 up the net. What does this "Air Alert" thing contain? Like, does it come with a dvd or a booklet or something? Thanks. Appreciate it.

I think if you buy it you get a DVD or something, but if you just google "air alert" you should be able to find a written program for free.

This seems similar to what I used http://www.snigel.nu/temp/aa3.pdf

I think there are Canadian sites that stream Air Alert for free, but you'd have to ask Andrew.

jump rope, calf raises, and ab work.

4 years ago I started working out (never lifted weights in my life before then) and less than a year into a work out which include the above. Each week I increased the number of reps and weight my vertical had increased 6 inches.

I was able to consistently get the bottom of my hand over the white box above the rim after that. Before I would get just enough air to dunk. After I was back to 360s, windmills, the works basically.
