Texas Tech University gets a chance to knock off a third consecutive double digit seed in the NCAA tournament, this time with a chance to get to the Elite Eight.
The Red Raiders, a No. 3 seed, take on a No. 10 Arkansas team that did some work for Tech by knocking off No. 2 St. John's in the biggest upset of the first weekend of the 2025 NCAA men's basketball championship tournament.
The winner will be one game from the Final Four, as either Texas Tech or Arkansas will play Maryland or Florida on Saturday, back in San Francisco.
The No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders take on No. 10 Arkansas in the last game of Thursday, an 8:09 p.m. Mountain (7:09 p.m. local/Pacific, 9:09 p.m. Central) at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Bret Bloomquist writes: "Texas Tech has the right combination of a strong interior presence with the ability to hit 3-pointers. Their path to the Sweet 16 wasn't blocked by double digit seeds and they add one more win to that category in this one."
The site says, "Texas Tech’s inside-out offense stretches the Arkansas defense and slows down this game, covering the 5.5-point spread."
Fort Smith Southwest Times Record: Arkansas 81, Texas Tech 78
Jackson Fuller writes: "Something magical is happening for Arkansas, and the Hogs' terrific defense will do just enough to stifle an elite Texas Tech offense. The Razorbacks also have a massive advantage in experience, from their roster to their coaches on the sideline. Arkansas will play in the Elite Eight."
Dimers: Texas Tech 79, Arkansas 74
It writes: "After extensive simulations, our model gives Arkansas a win probability of 30%, while Texas Tech has a win probability of 70%."
Lubbock Avalanche-Journal: Texas Tech 79, Arkansas 72
Nathan Giese writes: "The Red Raiders may not have McMillian back (that's to be determined), but have shown an ability for everyone to get involved. The Razorbacks do have some size that will give Tech trouble, though that's nothing new for Texas Tech."
