Alan Williams is really looking good. That is surprising to me. Alec Brown looks alot better than last year.
Argh ESPN 3 is showing a FIBA game right now for me.
man Bender needs to really learn how to finish strong, he is 7'1 and decently athletic but instead of throwing it down he has missed like 3 relatively open layups.
He moves well and handles well though. Looks more like a SF than anything else for sure right now.
Layman from portland just posterized Chriss. I just started watching the game, Chriss looks like he's not used to the speed of the game just from early watchings.
Not sure I would say strength was the issue, but more so a lack of BBIQ. He hasn't been playing all that long though so hopefully he gets more BBIQ over time.Chriss is very athletic which I expected. He needs to get stronger like Bender.

I'm gonna chalk some of this stuff up to "first tee nerves". I think all our young guys will play better as SL progresses.Chriss's hands are pretty bad at this point. I counted at least 4 times he went up for a slam/layup and lost the ball. He will get stronger, no doubt, but I expected a little more from the hype.
Booker will probably only play one more SL game.I don't care about Bender & Chriss' shooting numbers right now. I just want to see how comfortable they look out there. Other than bricking shots I thought Bender looked pretty smooth out there but strength is an issue right now. His handle and quickness is better than I thought.
Booker is too good for SL.
Oh I completely agree. Was just a little surprised over the missed gimmes.I'm gonna chalk some of this stuff up to "first tee nerves". I think all our young guys will play better as SL progresses.
I would agree. Booker had the same nerve problems last year. The nice thing about Bender is that he does not quit. He just keeps playing, even if he was a little frustrated.I'm gonna chalk some of this stuff up to "first tee nerves". I think all our young guys will play better as SL progresses.
If you do, keep your eyes on Bender. Note how quickly and smoothly he covers ground on D with those long strides. Notice his aggressiveness on D. The really encouraging thing to me about Bender right now is he defense. After all, I am a Suns fan. I don't see aggressive D that much.I am going to watch the replay of the game now. Highlights have me intrigued.
So, is Ben Simmons going to set the NBA record for triple doubles in a season? I guess its not if, its how soon. I would not be surprised to see him average a triple double at some point.
