I am thinking of upgrading to the EVO 4G and was wondering if anyone owns one? If you do, is it worth buying?

I have the Droid Incredible which is basically a slightly smaller version of the EVO. It's been awesome. I've heard great things about the EVO as well. It's been out over a year now, I think, so it's not the latest and greatest like it once was but it's still a pretty darn good phone.

So how is the new limited data plan working for you.

So how is the new limited data plan working for you.

94 percent of all VZW subscribers use less than 2gb per month.
Over 90 percent use less than 1.15gb.
4 percent of that 6 percent that use more than 2gb difference use more than 40 percent of all the data used on VZW's network.

No reason to get yourself bogged down by that. Get a 4G/LTE device and you will be surfing at speeds 2 to 3 times faster than anything Sprint can offer. And you can talk and text at the same time also so that is no longer an issue.

Wife has the Evo and I have the Shift. Great phones! The biggest knock on the Evo is battery usage is high! Must be the massive screen. I can't sleep if the wife is checking email and stuff at night. She has to charge daily while I can eek out 2 days on 1 charge.

I didn't choose the Evo just because it's pretty large. That and I like the physical buttons on the Shift. We're on the Sprint network, which has been good to us, but I'm sure you've seen the horror stories around here.

Tell her to download Juice Defender and has she calibrated the battery by letting it drain down until it turns off then charge it fully.I now go a full day + with phone calls, email and some gaming.

Yes, i have this phone and love it. There is nothing this phone can't do. However, like any smart phone battery life is not as good as the old dependable flip phones.

Love my EVO.
