Shaq won't play without Phil being coach next year. Rumor is LA brass wants him out. Shaq is pressuring the owner to trade him somewhere that has a dry hot climate. Also, he and Tim Duncan have vowed to play together since hitting it off after last all-star game. Duncan has a player option out of his contract. LA has said Phoenix has some players they think they can build with, especially Amare. It's a risk, but Jerry C. is considering trading Amare if he can be reasonably assured he will have Shaq and Duncan next year. -

This has all been relayed via a SOURCE!!

What is the most absurd rumor you can imagine? After the past few weeks I have stopped assuming that anything is impossible. For example:

-- Portland would get SAR nd Ratliff for an expiring contract

-- Celtics would take Chucky Atkins based on the idea that he is a good PG or that Detroit could unload Atlkins for only a low draft pick

-- The Celtics would think Ricky Davis would be any help

-- That anyone would take Keith Van Horn

-- That the Nets would try to sign Eddie Griffin (he has been cut)

-- That the Suns would give up two first round draft picks to save some cap money.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some other examples. So while I'm sure Yuma is either pulling our leg or on drugs or somehting, this HAS been a very strange year.

George O'Brien is going signed to a min. contract by the LA Lakers. They hope his experience will be a possitive influince on and off the court during their playoff run.

In a related move the Lakers also waived Kobe Bryant to create roster space.

It is Jim O'Brien taking over for Phil Jackson who announced, "These guys are a bunch of idiots." :D

I'd take the Amare for Shaq trade.

:D

Kobe and Amare would bring the Lakers a few more rings in the next 5 years.

I'd love to see how you would make THAT cap deal work. Shaq is scheduled to make $29.4 million next season. Ouch.
